摘要： An apparatus and method for automated preparation and delivery of a beverage. A first cup-transfer-mechanism is configured to receive a cup from a cup dispenser and to move the cup along a first axis within the apparatus during the preparation of the beverage. A second cup-transfer mechanism is configured to receive the cup containing the beverage from the first cup-transfer mechanism after the beverage has been prepared, wherein the second cup-transfer mechanism is configured to move the cup along at least one of a second axis and a third axis within the apparatus, wherein the first axis, the second axis, and the third axis are mutually perpendicular. A pick-up station where the customer picks up its beverage is configured to receive the cup from the second cup-transfer mechanism and to make room to receive subsequent cups without requiring human interaction. Multiple beverages can be prepared and delivered simultaneously.

The temperature of the beverage concentrate is reduced from a first temperature to a predetermined second temperature upon the brewing of the concentrate. The temperature of the beverage concentrate is further reduced from the predetermined second temperature to a third temperature. An apparatus used to brew the beverage is self-cleaning. In the apparatus, a brewed cleaning solution is recirculated, for a predetermined period of time, between a reservoir and the storage receptacles that hold beverage concentrates.

摘要： A method for cooking food items in an oven is disclosed. A history of instant oven temperatures is initially obtained during a cook of a first food item. A salient representation of the oven temperature history is stored in a non-volatile memory. The salient representation includes multiple average oven temperatures, each selected to represent a summary of the instant oven temperatures at various specific time periods throughout the cook of the first food item. During a cook of a second food item that is substantially similar to the first cook item, the current cook settings are dynamically adjusted during the cook of the second food item based on the results of a comparison between the instant oven temperatures and the stored average oven temperatures in order to duplicate the result of the cook of the first item.

摘要： An oven comprising a housing, a cavity located within the housing, and a rotator having a first food loading section and a second food loading section is disclosed. The cavity includes a single opening for loading a food item into the cavity. If one of the first food loading section and the second food loading section is located outside of said cavity, then the other of the first food loading section and the second food loading section is located within said cavity. A first cook setting of the oven when the first food loading section is within the cavity and a second cook setting of the oven when the second food loading section is within the cavity are independently controllable. The first food loading section and the second food loading section may be separated by a divider, which prevents heat from escaping from the cavity through the opening.

摘要： A cooking oven comprising a housing, a cavity, an oven door, an air plenum, an infrared heating element, and a thermal insulating layer placed between the infrared heating element and the air plenum is disclosed. The infrared hearing element comprises a wire-like heating element shaped in a serpentine-pattern to form a plurality of fingers. The thermal insulating layer comprises a plurality of air channels interconnecting the air plenum and the cavity, and one or more temperature decoupling chambers for thermally insulating the air plenum from the infrared heating element. The air channels are positioned interleavingly between the plurality of fingers so that airstreams coming from the air plenum through each of the air channels into the cavity do not substantially contact and convectively cool the infrared heating element. The temperature decoupling chambers may use air as a thermal insulator.
