摘要： A method for evaluating performance of a data communication network with a receiver node arranged to initiate data transmission thereto from a plurality of transmitter nodes directly connected therewith includes applying to the data communication network a stochastic operation model arranged to model operation characteristics of the receiver node, and determining throughput or power consumption of the network based on the stochastic operation model. The operation characteristics include: a duration of a work cycle of the receiver node (Tcycle), the work cycle including an active data communication period (Thold) and an inactive period (Tdwell); a duration of the active data communication period (Thold), the active data communication period including a number of data communication events; the number of data communication events in the work cycle n; a duration of the respective data communication events (Ttx); and amount of data successfully received at the receiver node in the work cycle (Bi).

In particular embodiments, structures are provided to avoid pinching an individual's finger when feeding a wipe up through the gripping and ripping structures. In yet other particular embodiments, a boss is provided to prevent wipes from bunching up during the dispensing thereof.

摘要： A system and method for fast, automatic balancing of an AC bridge utilizes a two-stage process. During the first stage, the phase of the bridge voltage is matched, while during the second stage, the amplitude is minimized. The voltage matching process is based on halving the range of measured voltage amplitudes at each step, using two samples to identify the next half-range, resulting in an n-step recursive algorithm with “n” defining the resolution of the process. As such, the phase-matching process requires only three samples per step, and only four steps for 1° resolution. Consequently, the computational power needed to carry out the two-stage process is minimal, requiring only comparison of the three sampled voltages, thereby resulting in a balancing process that is performed fast and efficiently.

摘要： A plant cultivating container comprising a hollow cell (10) for holding a growing medium and a plant. The cell has side walls (11), a base (20) and an open top (12). Air vents (30) are disposed on the side walls of the container. The base is vertically-movable base with guide tabs (21) which are extendable though an air vent. When the vertically-movable base is pushed upwards to eject the cultivated plant, the vertical movement is guided by engagement of the tabs within the air vents resulting in uniform support at all sides of the base. This enables the removal of the growing medium and the plant cultivated within it, in a substantially compact unit resulting in minimized root damage and transplant shock to the cultivated plant. The air vents of the plant cultivating container further comprises retaining flaps (31) to aid in the pruning of the roots.
