摘要： A smoke generator and driver circuit (46) for controlling and powering a smoke generating canister (38), said driver circuit (46) comprising a power output connected to said smoke generating canister (38) for activation thereof. It comprises a charging unit (50) providing after a charging process sufficient power for igniting and driving said smoke generating canister (38), a switching unit (52) connected to said charging unit (50) and to a first pole (56) of said smoke generating canister (38) for releasing power from said charging unit (50) to said smoke generating canister (38), and a connecting unit (54) connected to a second pole (58) of said smoke generating canister (38) for allowing power to flow through said smoke generating canister (38), wherein activation of both said connecting unit (54) and said switching unit (52) during an overlapping time period is required for activation of said smoke generating canister (38). A method comprises applying a charging signal a charging input of the driver circuit (46), applying a control signal to a connect input of said driver circuit (46), and applying a trigger signal at a trigger input of switching unit (52).

摘要： A home wireless system and a method of controlling it wherein the home wireless system comprises a plurality of wireless peripheral nodes and a first gateway having a wireless communication means for communicating with and controlling wireless peripheral nodes. The method comprises: a) installing at least one second gateway in said home wireless system, b) binding wireless peripheral nodes to said first gateway or anyone of said at least second gateway,c) each wireless peripheral node repeatedly sending messages to the bound gateway, d) said bound gateway sending an acknowledge message as a response to the message received from the wireless peripheral node, e) each wireless peripheral node initiating a searching process for an available gateway among said first and said at least one second gateway if not receiving an acknowledge message from the bound gateway, said searching process including a link establishment process, and f) proceeding said link establishment process in a responding gateway by binding said searching wireless peripheral node to communicate with the responding gateway. The at least one second gateway is provided with wireless communication means for communicating with and controlling wireless peripheral nodes.

摘要： A method and a device for supervising a home wireless system wherein the home wireless system comprises a plurality of peripheral wireless nodes (14; 16; 19; 21; 23), a first gateway (12) having wireless communication means for communicating with and controlling associated peripheral wireless nodes. Other steps are installing at least one second gateway (12′; 32), each of said peripheral wireless nodes (14; 16; 19; 21; 23) being assigned to one of said first gateway (12) and said at least one second gateway (12′; 32), maintaining a supervision timer for each assigned peripheral wireless node (14; 16; 19; 21; 23), transmitting from each of said peripheral wireless nodes (14; 16; 19; 21; 23) a periodic status message, resetting in the gateway said supervision timer when receiving a periodic status message from an assigned peripheral wireless node (14; 16; 19; 21; 23), and reporting from a first gateway to said at least one second gateway an assigned peripheral wireless node (14; 16; 19; 21; 23) as failed when no periodic status message has been received within a predefined time period. The device also comprises at least on remote central monitoring station (22) and timing means in said gateways and said nodes.
