    • A polymeric torque control is secured to a vehicle armrest and includes an integrally molded coupling surrounding an aperture for receiving and lockably mounting the torque control to a pivot axle extending from a vehicle support member. The integrated coupling is defined by an arcuate slot extending through the torque member in concentric spaced relationship to a pivot axle aperture. A transverse slot in the torque member communicates with the arcuate slot to define a pair of resilient arms having, in the preferred embodiment, outwardly projecting tabs at their free ends extending in a direction orthogonal to the plane of the torque member. Such construction allows a tool, such as a flat-bladed screwdriver, to be easily inserted between the ends of the arcuate arms for deflecting the arms outwardly from the pivot axle, which they surround, to release the armrest from a captive circumferential recess in the pivot axle for removal of the armrest. The armrest is installed by introducing the end of the pivot axle within the aperture, which deflects the arms outwardly to compressively grip the pivot axle and snap into the circumferential recess of the pivot axle when aligned therewith.

    • A storage divider includes a first frame which has one edge pivotally mounted to the floor of the vehicle and a second frame pivotally mounted to the first frame member remote from its connection to the vehicle floor. Together the frames move from a co-planar collapsed stored position to a raised position elevating a storage platform positioned on the second frame above the floor area of the vehicle while leaving the floor area of the vehicle open for additional storage. In a preferred embodiment of the invention, the second frame includes one edge with extensions which hook into sockets mounted to the sidewalls of the vehicle for holding the storage divider in an extended use position. In one embodiment also, the platform mounted to the second frame can be a collapsible, segregated storage divider for providing additional horizontally divided storage spaces elevated above the vehicle floor when the divider is in an extended use position or at the floor level of the vehicle when the divider is in its collapsed position.

    • A track visor includes a visor body with a rolling guide assembly engaged with a track extending above at least a portion of the front windshield and side window of a vehicle. The track is a curved, non-planar configuration with a pair of outer-extending rails which are parallel to each other along straight sections of the track and increase in separation distance with increased curvature of the track. The guide assembly has three rolling wheels assembled to a carriage, with two of the wheels engaged to one rail and the third wheel engaged to the opposite rail. The third wheel is assembled to a pivot arm that is spring biased for compressing the wheels against the rails of the track. The visor body is pivotally connected to the carriage and, therefore, movable above selected positions of the windshield and side door window for providing incident light blocking.

    • A combined speaker and locking member extend through an aperture in a vehicle headliner to mount the speaker to the headliner. The locking member includes offset locking flanges which engage the upper surface of the headliner when installed, and the speaker includes locking tabs extending through the slots in the headliner for engaging the lower surface of the headliner. The speaker further includes a pair of locking slots which receive the offset locking flanges of the locking member such that the locking member and speaker move together during installation. The speaker is locked into position by a raised locking surface formed on the side of the locking flanges facing the headliner to extend into the opposed slots of the headliner when the speaker is rotated with its tabs positioned on the opposite side of the headliner.
