The system includes larger and longer high load capacity main runners with mechanically fastened cross tees, which transfer seismic forces without failing. The structural grid can provide a diaphragm using mechanically fastened connections in a single horizontal plane without requiring additional overhead support from the roof deck, or requiring fewer such supports. The main runners may include additional connecting elements disposed within the usable space beneath the runner (e.g., ventral threaded receivers) for attaching deployment-specific equipment or hardware, such as network cable trays.

摘要： A structural stud post assembly comprising a center receiver section having opposing receiver channels formed by side walls and angled flanges, and a pair of raceway inserts also defining a raceway channel for accepting wiring and equipment to be disposed in the raceway. The raceways can be installed in the receiver channels to accept and accommodate wiring and equipment. The center receiver comprises a thermal break at about a midpoint to prevent there from being a metal-to-metal thermally conductive pathway through the stud. The structural stud post may be used in the construction of modular building systems.

摘要： A modular wall system comprising a framing assembly supporting a plurality of wall panels. The framing assembly includes top members, bottom members, and studs extending between the top and bottom members for supporting the wall panels. Each stud has a generally rectangular cross-section with a front face, a back face, and left and right side faces. The front face has a recess therein with a longitudinally extending ridged trough therein for receiving threaded fasteners. The back face having an outwardly-opening generally C-shaped channel with a longitudinally extending ridged trough therein for receiving threaded fasteners. Each side face has a generally centrally located, longitudinally extending groove with a ridged trough in the groove for receiving threaded fasteners, at least one longitudinally extending gasket to seal against the edge of a panel mounted on the side of the stud, and an insert mounting slot between the groove and each gasket mounting slot; and a cover strip mounted over the front face of the stud, the cover strip having a generally T-shaped cross-section adapted to interfit with the front face of the stud with the stem of the "T" fitting in the recess in the front face, and the arms of the "T" extending laterally beyond the side edges of the front face to overlap edge margins of the front face of a panel mounted on the side of the stud, and a plurality of threaded fasteners extending through the stem of the "T" shaped cross-section of the cover and into the ridged trough in the front face of the stud.

摘要： A wall stud for the wall of an in-plant/portable building where the wall includes interfitting wall studs and panels. The wall stud has first and second interfitting stud members that fit in telescoping engagement. Each stud member is generally U-shaped in cross-section with outwardly, laterally extending flanges to sandwich a wall panel therebetween with the members in telescoping engagement. The first stud member has an outwardly angled flange at each side thereof, and the second stud member has an outwardly angled side wall portion at each side thereof such that the angled wall portions and angled flanges are in mating engagement with each other with the members in telescoping engagement. The mating angled side wall portions and angled flanges are adapted to receive a fastener to secure them in mating engagement and thereby secure the stud members in telescoping engagement.
