    • The present invention relates to a property determining apparatus for automatically determining in real time, properties of a slurry material such as of a sludge under treatment. The apparatus, being provided with a sampling cylinder 2, a quantitative sampling piston pair comprised of a rear piston 3 and a front piston 4, an air cylinder 5, a measurement tank 8, and a measuring means 10, is connected to a transfer pipe P and the like for a slurry material via a connecting opening 2w of the sampling cylinder 2. As a measuring operation, slurry material is first collected into the sampling cylinder 2 by a volume corresponding to the space S of the pistons 3,4 when the quantitative sampling piston pair is retracted from an initial position shown with a two-dot chain line, supplied to the measurement tank 8 when the space between the pistons are narrowed, then the properties of a slurry material is measured with the measuring means 10, and after that, the space of the pistons are returned to an original position so as to return the slurry material from the measurement tank into the sampling cylinder, and finally the quantitative sampling piston pair is returned to the original position to allow slurry material to be returned to the transfer pipe.

    • There is provided a lifting pole apparatus which can lift and lower a pole having such strength as to be capable of preventing cars from entering. The lifting pole apparatus comprises a cylindrical pole which is capable of lifting and lowering inside a housing case; a screw shaft hanging from a top portion of the pole inwardly; a stay disposed upright on a bottom portion of the housing case, and housed in the pole; a driving gear rotatably supported on the stay, and having a screw portion on a through hole disposed at a center axis thereof, the screw portion being threadably mounted on the screw shaft; at least two motors disposed on the stay for rotating the driving gear; and an electro-magnetic brake disposed on the stay for activating the brake on the rotation of the driving gear.

    • A sampling cylinder 3 is attached to a process piping 2 through which a slurry flows. A front piston 9 and a rear piston 10 which slide within the sampling cylinder 3 are driven via a driving rod 12 by a fluid pressure cylinder 11. These two pistons 9,10 are allowed to slide to collect the slurry into a sampling space 30 defined between the pistons 9,10. The front piston 9 is brought closer to the rear piston 10 to reduce the volume of the sampling space 30. Thus, only the filtrate in the slurry is fed through a filter 5 into a filtrate collecting tank 6, where pH etc. of the filtrate is measured by a sensor 8. Subsequently, the front piston 9 is brought apart from the rear piston 10 to increase the volume of the sampling space 30. Thus, the filtrate is returned into the sampling space 30 back-washing the filter 5. Then, the slurry in the sampling space 30 is returned to the process piping 2.

    • A pass blocking apparatus includes a mechanism for permitting the intentional release of a blocking bar from a closed position to an evacuation position as necessary. The apparatus includes a blocking bar, hinge connection unit, biasing unit, and resistance unit. The blocking bar extends perpendicularly to the driving shaft axis, thereby swinging vertically by driving shaft rotation. The hinge connection unit connects the blocking bar to the driving shaft permits the blocking bar to swing horizontally from the closed to the evacuation position. The biasing unit applies a biasing force to the blocking bar, swinging the blocking bar toward the evacuation position. The resistance unit holds the blocking bar in the closed position against the biasing force. The resistance unit includes an electromagnetic device and a magnetic material, and generates the resistance force from a magnetic force by the electromagnetic device that attracts the magnetic material.
