摘要： A method for predicting the remaining service life of a saw band in a bandsaw machine, in which a behavior or properties of the saw band clamped in the sawing machine are monitored by at least one sensor during operation of the sawing machine. Changes in the behavior or in properties of the saw band over time established on the basis of measurement signals of the sensor device are used for making a prediction about the time at which a band will break. The behavior or properties of the saw band are indirectly monitored using the at least one sensor device by way of detecting changes to components of the sawing machine which are operatively connected to the saw band.

摘要： A method for sawing metal workpieces uses a sawing machine having a bench and clamping jaws, and an upper saw generates a sawing feeding movement in a cutting plane. The method includes: controlling the clamping jaws to clamp a workpiece, the clamping jaws located in an initial position; waiting input of an offset value, corresponding to a distance of a front end side of the workpiece from a zero position, into the machine controller, the zero position being a position in which the front end side of the workpiece is located in the cutting plane; advancing or retracting the clamping jaws to move the workpiece into the zero position; opening the clamping jaws; moving the clamping jaws to the initial position; re-clamping the workpiece located in the zero position, the clamping jaws being in their initial position; moving the clamped workpiece from the zero position into a cutting position, the cutting position being a position in the cutting plane where the workpiece is intended to be sawn.

摘要： A band saw machine includes a saw band for severing a workpiece in a cutting plane; a saw band support for swinging the saw band into the cutting plane before each sawing step; clamping jaws disposed downstream of the cutting plane as viewed in the feed direction for clamping the workpiece undergoing sawing; and feed jaws for advancing the workpiece toward the cutting plane. The feed jaws are openable after closing the clamping jaws and before ending a sawing step, shiftable from the cutting plane to an extent of a successive work piece feed and closable for moving the workpiece against the feed direction away from the cutting plane after the sawing step. An arrangement shifts the saw band support away from and perpendicularly to the cutting plane toward the workpiece held spaced from and upstream of the cutting plane prior to retracting the saw band from the cutting plane.

摘要： An apparatus is disclosed for storing and discharging rod-shaped workpieces of different lengths and types and for the automatic supply of, in particular, a cutting-off machine or a station for processing these workpieces under the control of a computer or the like, with at least one shelf system being provided that is equipped with shelf compartments. A hoist is provided for supplying the shelf system and for removing workpieces from the shelf system. The length of each incoming or outgoing workpiece is determined and the determined length value is appropriately stored in the computer. The length measurement is performed by a length measuring device for determining the distance of the front end faces of the workpieces from an abutment. The length measuring device includes a manually operated device that is operated with ultrasound, light or the like directed onto a wall in the region of the workpiece abutment. The manually operated device is equipped with an extension in the form of an abutment for placement against the front end face of the respective workpiece. The manually operated device is coupled with the computer by way of a data exchange device which provides information about the length and type of the workpiece. The length values of the workpieces determined by the manually held device are fed into the computer by actuation of a handle on the manually operated device.

摘要： A honeycomb storage system with at least one shelf unit, including a plurality of storage units arranged side-by-side and overtop of each other, accessible from an operating side, for receiving cartridges. The storage units are embodied such that the cartridges can be removed horizontally at the operating side in the longitudinal direction and can be inserted therein. A shelf operating device is arranged at an operating side and a commissioning device is arranged on a front side of the shelf opposite the operating side.
