摘要： A system for making an admixture for concrete includes a catalyst and a reactor configured to produce a nanocarbon mixture and a product gas, with the nanocarbon mixture including at least two different types of nanocarbon particles in selected mass percentage ranges. The system also includes a nano-silica-based suspension stabilizer configured for mixing with the nanocarbon mixture to improve the long term stability of the nanocarbon particles in the admixture; and a surfactant configured for mixing with the nanocarbon mixture to facilitate dispersion of the nanocarbon particles in the admixture.

A method for making the nanostructured material includes the steps of: providing a mixture of carbon nanoparticles (CNPs) having a selected composition; providing intercalation nanoparticles (INPs) configured to intercalate the carbon nanoparticles (CNPs); intercalating the carbon nanoparticles (CNPs) by mixing the intercalation nanoparticles (INPs) in a selected CNP:HNP ratio to form an intercalated material; and combining the intercalated material in a base material in a selected concentration with the base material providing a matrix for the intercalated material.

摘要： A method for making an admixture in liquid form for concrete includes the step of providing a nanocarbon mixture containing at least two different types of nanocarbon particles, with each type of nanocarbon particle having a predetermined percentage range by mass of the admixture, crushing or grinding the nanocarbon mixture into a carbon powder, and wetting and mixing the carbon powder in a water/surfactant mixture using high energy mixing apparatus. The method can also include blending the nanocarbon mixture with a nano-silica based compound, either before or after the wetting and mixing step. An admixture for concrete includes at least two different types of nanocarbon particles in a water/surfactant mixture having a predetermined percentage range by mass of the admixture. The admixture also includes surfactant and can include a nano-silica based suspension stabilizer having a predetermined percentage range by mass of the admixture.

摘要： A system includes a hydrogen fueled internal combustion engine, a fuel system configured to provide a flow of hydrogen fuel to the engine, and an exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) system configured to provide a flow of recirculated gas to the engine which includes exhaust gases. The system also includes an engine controller configured to control the fuel system and the EGR system, such that the engine receives a mixture which includes the hydrogen fuel, the ambient air and the recirculated gas in a stoichiometric fuel/air ratio that meets the torque demand on the engine.A method includes the steps of providing a flow of gaseous hydrogen fuel, a flow of ambient air, and a flow of recirculated exhaust gas to the engine. The method also includes the steps of mixing the flow of recirculated exhaust gas and the flow of ambient air, determining a flow of hydrogen fuel necessary to create a stoichiometric fuel/air ratio, and then regulating the hydrogen fuel flow to control the torque of the engine, minimize throttling work and provide a mixture comprised of the hydrogen fuel, the ambient air and the exhaust gas in a stoichiometric fuel/air ratio.

The method is performed by placing a hydrogen gas and a hydrocarbon fluid at a pressure greater than the critical pressure of the hydrocarbon, placing the hydrogen gas and the hydrocarbon fluid at a temperature below or approximately equal to the critical temperature of the hydrocarbon forming the supercritical hydrocarbon fluid, and then mixing to dissolve the hydrogen gas into the supercritical hydrocarbon fluid. A system for performing the method includes a vortex mixer configured to turbulently mix the hydrogen gas and the supercritical hydrocarbon fluid. The supercritical cryogenic fuel (SCCF) produced by the method and the system includes the supercritical hydrocarbon fluid with a selected mole fraction of the hydrogen gas dissolved therein.
