摘要： A method and apparatus for a burner adapted to heat a furnace or other environment of use. In particular, a burner for providing a fuel gas in combination with an oxidant to effect controlled reaction of the fuel gas in a manner to reduce NOx emissions is described. Combustion of the fuel gas is shifted from the burner combustor to a location outside the burner once the temperature within the furnace/radiant tube has reached a sufficient level to complete combustion of the fuel gas.

摘要： A radiant tube burner system comprises a novel flue gas recirculating assembly for reducing nitrous oxides emissions. In the burner system, the combustion air conduit running to the radiant tube burner intersects the exhaust conduit at a location between the radiant tube and the eventual exhaust outlet. A venturi is formed at this intersection. The venturi is configured to suction a portion of the flue gas from the exhaust conduit into the combustion air flow. 摘要： A standalone modular flame sensor containing a multi-function power supply having outputs for both a flame rod and an ultraviolet transducer. The module also contains interfaces for the ultraviolet transducer and for the flame rod transducer. The interfaces are brought together at a summing junction arranged so that the module will work with either a flame rod, an ultraviolet transducer, or both such transducers. Output circuitry provides not only a flame-on/flame-off indication (both visible via an LED and a switch contact closure), but also provides a continuously variable signal indicating the quality of the sensed flame. The module can be used standalone with either transducer type or incorporated in a more complex control system.

摘要： A pannier for a cycle adapted to be secured to a carrier rack mounted over a wheel. A flexible, generally rectangular bag is of sufficient size that its rear portion extends downwardly from the carrier closely adjacent to the spokes of the wheel. A rigid panel fixed to the rear of the bag and extending substantially to the bottom of the bag is utilized to provide structural definition for the bag and to prevent it from interfering with the spokes. A U-shaped bar having opposed ends pivotally connected to the rear panel is employed for holding the bag in an open or collapsed condition. In one embodiment a second panel extends substantially across the bottom of the bag and is pivotally connected to the lower edge of the first panel to provide lateral stability for the bag. The opposed ends of the bar may be utilized as pivot pins for both the panels and the bar.

摘要： Flame supervisory method and apparatus in which a cross-checking relay system is controlled jointly by time-delay factors and a two-state control signal derived from the flame and having respectively pre-flame and flame-responsive polarity characteristics produced by reflexive bias and regenerative amplification and conversion of the basic flame-detection current to a control signal determining either switch-over to full flame burner operation or lock out of the system under ignition failure conditions. The two control states of the converted flame-detection signal are of a self-locking character, the pre-flame state tending to inhibit false response of the relay system to spurious flame signals, and the converted control signal in general being highly discriminative owing to an abrupt, non-linear change in polarity differentiating it from the pre-flame state.
