    • The invention relates to a locking device for use with a basketball rim. In one embodiment, the device includes two sleeve members in telescoping engagement. The sleeve member ends define C-shaped slots for engagement with a basketball rim. The bodies of the sleeve members define lock-receiving apertures, which align to receive a lock. In a second embodiment, the device comprises a sleeve member including a locking means. One end of the sleeve member defines a C-shaped slot. The body of the sleeve member includes a locking means and an inverted-U-shaped slot.

    • A wheelstand comprises a frame including a pair of lateral supports in spaced, parallel arrangement. A pair of large drive wheels are rotatably secured at the rear ends of the lateral supports and a pair of castor wheels are secured at the front ends of the lateral supports. A user support structure or a prone board comprising a pair of elongated rails, spanned at one end by a chest pad, is pivotably secured to the lateral supports for pivoting between at least an upright or vertical position and a prone or horizontal position. The wheelstand includes a pair of adjustable knee pads and a posterior pelvic stabilizer, or an elongated, curved seat pivotably attached to a bar. A pair of optional thoracic lateral pads extend from the sides of the chest pad to stabilize the trunk laterally and to support the trunk in the midline position. Also optionally provided is a posterior thoracic panel for attaching to the lateral pads by a strap and an anterior abdominal pad. At the end of the prone board opposite the chest pad are provided foot plates. In an alternate embodiment of the present invention, the foot plates may be left off, thereby converting the wheelstand into a wheelstand-walker.

    • Am ambulatory wheelstand includes a user support structure pivotably attached to a wheeled frame. The frame includes a pair of larger diameter drive wheels and a pair of front castor wheels. The user support structure includes hinge pins which are entrained in elongated horizontal slots in the frame. A pivot arm also connects the support structure to the frame so that the structure can pivot between an upright and a prone position. As the support structure is lowered to a prone position, the hinge pin slides rearwardly in the elongated slot to prevent the center of gravity from shifting too far forward. Conversely, when in the upright position, the hinge pin slides to the forward end of the slot, maintaining the center of gravity in substantially the same position.
