摘要： A seat structure includes a seat plate, a backrest plate adjustable in inclination angle, and a bridging member covering up a flexion portion between the seat plate and the backrest plate for bridging the seat plate and the backrest plate smoothly. The bridging member is a member shaped like a thin flat plate having a flexural elasticity and stably supports a baby's buttocks while dispersing a body pressure with its entire surface. This structure can provide such a seat structure that can prevent local loads from acting on the buttocks both in the form of a bed and in the form of a chair.

Each lower side surface portion has a bottom connection end connected to a side edge of the seat surface portion, a back connection end, and an upper connection end. The back connection end is provided behind and overlaps a back surface of the backrest surface portion and is connected to the back surface of the backrest surface portion at a position laterally inwardly at a distance from both side edges thereof. The upper connection end is adapted to be connected to an upward extension frame member extending upward from a rear end of a member forming a seat portion of the child-care instrument.

When the backrest core member is most inclined, the pin is located against one end wall of the slot to permit moving the backrest core member downwardly thereby forcibly bringing a head guard core member into an upright position. The head guard core member is rotatably connected to a control member which uses the movement of the backrest core member for the movement of the head guard member. Thus, a head guard portion is brought into a state substantially flush with a backrest portion when the backrest assumes a relatively upright state, while the head guard portion is brought into an upright position from the upper end of the backrest portion in a most inclined state of the backrest portion.
