摘要： A station for running foam-plastics material into shut molds has a mixing head with first and second driving systems, the one for moving the mixing head sideways to an inlet opening of each mold, and the other for moving the mixing head downwards into and upwards out of the inlet opening. The mixing head and the first driving system together with the second driving system are supported by a slide or carriage, which is guided along a section of the transport way of the smoothly moving molds. By way of a driving connection, the slide may be joined up with the mold which is to take up the plastics material and cleared from it again when the mold is full.

摘要： Disclosed is a high-pressure mixing head for the mixing of at least two reactive plastics material components and the foaming of these components, the mixing head comprising a mixing chamber (18) which has opening thereinto nozzle orifices (22; 24; 41) associated with said plastics material components and a blowing agent, and in which a metering plunger (20) is mounted for reciprocating movement. The mixing chamber (18) opens into a discharge section (16) of greater dimensions which, thus, acts as a stabilizing zone. On the mixing chamber outlet (26), a variable damper element (purging plunger 12; damping plunger 40) is provided which provides for variable restriction of the mixing chamber outlet (26). The damper element greatly reduces the mixing turbulence within the mixing chamber, such that, in combination with the discharge section of greater dimensions, the plastic foam mixture flows out from the mixing head so smoothly that spatter-free foaming even in open molds becomes possible.

摘要： The specification describes a high pressure mixing head for producing a chemically reactive mixture for producing foam articles. An expulsion piston adapted to move in a mixing chamber with inlet ports for the reactive mixture components and with an outlet port is driven by a drive piston. In order to achieve a higher velocity of the expulsion piston in the vicinity of the inlet ports the drive piston is constructed in two parts, an inner piston part and an outer annular piston part adapted to slide on the inner piston part. At the end of the stroke the outer piston part is arrested and the inner piston part continues to move at a higher velocity, a projection at the end of the drive piston moving into a recess. At the beginning of the stroke in the other direction the projection is moved out of the recess by a pressure medium at a high speed until the projection has cleared the recess.
