摘要： A chain driven gate and security system is provided. The system includes a gate which is opened and closed by a gate operator. The gate operator includes a chain and a motor having a rotatable sprocket for engaging the links of a chain. The gate and security system includes a sensor for detecting whether the chain has been severed, an alarm for producing a visible or audible alert, and a processor connected to the motor, sensor and alarm. The processor activates an alarm in the event that the processor indicates that the gates should be closed, but that the chain has been severed.

A frame positioned within the first door to define an opening through the first door and a second door is hingedly coupled to the frame. A pair of receivers is each coupled to the door. A control circuit is coupled to the frame. A receiver is coupled to the frame, the transmitter and the control circuit. The control circuit defines a trigger distance between the receiver and the transmitter. A pair of locks is each coupled to the second door and the control circuit. The locks are actuatable into a locked position to engage the receivers when the transmitter is moved out of the trigger distance. The locks are actuated into an unlocked position when the transmitter is moved within the trigger distance.

摘要： A pet gate and method of operating thereof. The gate including a frame including first and second vertical side members; a door pivotally mounted to the second vertical side member. The door includes a pole extending between upper and a lower door crossbars, wherein the door pivots between an open position and a closed position. A foot actuator is mounted to the door and is vertically slidable between a raised position and a lowered position. A first channel in the foot actuator aligns with the pole and receives a drive that passes through the pole. The drive is raise-able by the foot actuator. A retractable bar is slidably provided in the upper door crossbar. The drive engages the retractable bar when the drive is raised. An upper retracting pin extends from the retractable bar and is receivable in a upper catch provided in the first vertical member.

摘要： A gate apparatus that includes a gate, an elongate member or gate base for the ends of the gate, and a stairway post adapter such that a wooden stairway post can serve as a base for a gate without harming the wood of the stairway post. The stairway post adapter includes a vertical or longitudinally running channel for receiving the gate base, a horizontally or laterally extending channel for receiving a strap, and a recess or receptor or face for confronting a section of a stairway post. The gate base includes an upper and lower eyelet. Each of the ends of the gate includes upper and lower pins for engaging the upper and lower eyelets of the gate bases. On the hinge side of the gate, the pins are relatively long and remain in the eyelets as the gate is lifted and swung. On the latch side of the gate, the pins are relatively short such that that latch side of the gate can be lifted and disengaged from the eyelets and then swung open. The gate is extendable and retractable in length, and is reversible.

摘要： A bidirectional, spring-biased gate. The present invention comprises a pair of side frames, an elongated hinge extending therebetween, and a gate extending vertically from said hinge. In its resting position, the gate extends vertically across the open interior between the first and second side frames, providing a movable barrier suitable for deterring and/or blocking animals from passing therethrough. The hinge provides a 180-degree range of motion for the gate, thereby allowing the gate to transition between its resting upstanding position, a first lowered position perpendicular to the resting position, and a second lowered position perpendicular to the resting position in the opposite direction of the first lowered position. The present invention further comprises a plurality of springs extending between the side frames and the gate, which are adapted to return the gate to its upstanding resting position from either the first lowered position or the second lowered position.
