    • A dobby includes two controlled latches for coupling a drive element mounted to a main drive shaft of the dobby and an actuator element in rotation. A first resilient element resiliently biases each of the latches towards a configuration in which their respective bearing surfaces are engaged with corresponding surfaces of the actuator element. Control members are provided for moving the latches against the action of the first resilient element and that act directly on the first latch and indirectly on the second latch so as to move the first latch against the first resilient element to thereby disengage its bearing surface with a corresponding surface of the actuator element while the second latch remains in a configuration in which its bearing surface is engaged with another corresponding surface of the actuator element.

    • A driving coupling includes two pawls which are supported pivotally on an eccentric ring and which in a patternlike manner engage a longitudinal groove in the drive shaft. Each of two plates of a toggle-lever joint engages an arm extension of a respective pawl, the swivel axle of the toggle-lever joint being guided in a control groove of a swinging switching arm. When the pawls are engaged with a drive shaft groove, the toggle-lever joint is in an extended position which locks the pawls in position. For unlocking the pawls, the switching arm moves the toggle-lever joint into a catch opening between two guide rails. The pawls swing out and the drive shaft rotates without carrying along the pawls and the eccentric ring.

    • A rotary dobby for moving a shaft includes a connecting rod connected to the shaft to be moved, the connecting rod having two mutually-opposite wedge detents disposed thereon along a given wedge-detent diametral line, an eccentric disk carried on the connecting rod having a wedge guide extended radially in the eccentric disk, a drive shaft assembly having at least one detent groove formed therein, a coupling wedge disposed between the drive shaft assembly and the eccentric disk, the coupling wedge having an open shifting groove formed therein, two control pieces engageable in the shifting groove, two control rods each being connected to a respective one of the control pieces and being controlled according to a given pattern for pushing one of the control pieces into the shifting groove and for pushing the coupling wedge alternately into the detent groove along the length of the wedge guide when the drive shaft assembly is not rotating and into one of the two wedge detents, and an automatic zero setting device associated with the connecting rod for maintaining the connecting rod and the eccentric disk in a zero position for receiving the coupling wedge.

    • In a coupling arrangement for a textile machine, a drive shaft can be intermittently rotated and a connecting member encircles and is connected to the drive shaft by an eccentric hoop located between them. A coupling key is displaceable between a first coupling recess associated with the drive shaft and a second coupling recess associated with the connecting member. The coupling key is retained in the recesses by lead cams. A retaining key, independent from the coupling key, is supported by the eccentric hoop. The retaining key cooperates with a first retaining recess on the drive shaft or with a second retaining recess on the connecting member. The retaining key and/or the retaining recesses have control surfaces which provide the displacement of the retaining key when the drive shaft overtakes the eccentric hoop or the eccentric hoop overtakes the connecting member.

    • The clutch arrangement includes a proximity switch which monitors the coupled or uncoupled position of the pawl with the shaft through a transmission linkage as well as the movement of the heddle. Corresponding control signals are emitted to an electronic control device for comparison of the weaving machine with the weave program. In case of faults, the weaving machine can be immediately stopped. The transmission linkage includes levers which are actuated by the control levers for coupling and uncoupling the pawl with and from the shaft. In addition, the strap about the eccentric includes an abutment surface for actuating the transmission linkage to cause the proximity switch to be switched to an on position.

    • A transmission for the shedding mechanism (dobby) of a loom in order to produce a non-uniform drive from a uniform drive, having a drive shaft and a driven shaft aligned therewith, said shafts being mounted in a transmission housing. In order to simplify the construction, a rotor is arranged fixed for rotation on the drive shaft, the rotor bearing at least one gear segment which is swingably supported on an eccentric shaft and has two cam rollers arranged in different planes, the gear segment being in engagement with a driven pinion arranged fixed for rotation on the driven shaft and the cam rollers cooperating in force-actuated and/or form-locked manner with two cams fastened in different planes to the transmission housing, the asymmetry of which cams producing a relative movement per revolution between the drive shaft and the driven shaft. The relative movement per revolution can be adjusted by replacing the two cams. The rotor can also be formed with two arms and carry two gear segments, the cam rollers of which cooperate with the two cams.
