摘要： A fishing hook retaining apparatus and method, utilizing a retaining apparatus secured to a shaft of a fishing pole. In one embodiment, the apparatus is a sleeve having a magnet in an interior portion thereof, and a channel extending part of the way through an upper portion thereof. A hook is retained therein by the passage of a portion thereof through the channel, and the contacting of the hook with the magnet. The apparatus may be secured to the shaft, in one embodiment, with an O-ring that is looped over two opposing securing members, and about the shaft of the pole. In another embodiment, the apparatus comprises two upwardly angled opposing sides, with a bar interposed therebetween. In a third embodiment, the apparatus comprises a base having retention ends which couple the apparatus to the shaft of the pole. In yet another embodiment, the apparatus is integral with the shaft of the pole.

摘要： A treble hook protector apparatus. The apparatus is typically a single molded piece. The apparatus typically includes two outer fins or handles that are pressed together to spread apart side walls at an integral hinge to “open” the protector to insert the shaft of the hook. A central clasp opens allowing the hook to be inserted into the central channel. One of the three hooks rests inside the channel. The other two hooks rest against the outer winged walls. A bottom plate prevents the hook from falling out. The central clasp prevents the hook from pushing above the upper walls. The outer lips help prevent surfaces such as fabric from entering past the walls and onto the hooks. In addition, when the hook is removed, the fins can once again be engaged to open the device and allow the device to be clipped onto some suitable edge to temporarily store the device.

摘要： A tackle container with barriers extending across the bottom of the interior cavity holds fishing lures in a fixed position and allows easy retrieval of each lure. Each barrier in the container includes a curved wall that converges with the bottom of the container. The barrier thereby forms a nesting space between the backside of the curved wall and the bottom of the container. A fishing lure fits under a barrier with its hooks wedged into the nesting space to hold the lure in a desired position. The barriers may be removable inserts having rails that slide into slots along the sidewall of the container. The inserts may be positioned in a variety of configurations.
