摘要： A toilet deodorizer includes a deodorizer cake and a one-piece plastic framework having two leg portions with lower ends within the cake and extending upwardly therefrom to upper ends that merge with horizontal portions perpendicular to the leg portions. The framework also has a U-shaped portion depending from the horizontal portions. The framework is somewhat springy so that the U-shaped portion can be resiliently flexed away from the leg portions to allow the framework to straddle an upper rim of a toilet bowl with the U-shaped portion on one side of the rim and the leg portions and the cake on the other side of the rim within the toilet bowl. The framework is symmetrical with respect to a plane equidistant from the horizontal portions and parallel thereto. The framework has a top piece or strip member joining the horizontal portions and extending equally therebeyond to free ends. The length of the strip member is about 7 inches (17.8 cm) and the length of the leg portions is about 3 inches (7.6 cm).

摘要： An apparatus is provided which enables a container of cleaning fluid to lie in a water closet and dispense cleaning fluid solely into the toilet bowl rather than into the water closet. The apparatus includes a storage chamber (54) for holding granules of a chemical that dissolves in water to create cleaning fluid, and a transfer chamber (64) through which water flows from a refill valve outlet (40) into a standpipe (44) that leads to the toilet bowl, at each flushing of the toilet. The transfer chamber is coupled to the storage chamber so that cleaning fluid can migrate from the storage chamber (54) into the transfer chamber (64), and yet during each flushing the water from the refill outlet primarily sweeps out cleaning fluid in the transfer chamber. An anti-siphon device (74) between the refill valve outlet and the cleaning fluid dispensing apparatus includes a check valve, and a chamber that surrounds the check valve. The anti-siphon chamber has air holes that let water in the anti-siphon chamber drain into the transfer chamber when water is no longer supplied from the refill outlet, the holes being blocked during flow from the refill outlet.

摘要： The cover or cap of a conventional pressure type flush valve is removed and a container is screwed onto the flush valve whereupon the cover or cap is then screwed onto the upper end of the container. A fine screen at the base of the container retains a granular or power type disinfectant, preferably in a bag, and a small tube is secured to the by-pass valve of the flush valve diaphragm and extends upwardly through the screen to adjacent the upper end of the container. The existing adjusting screw is removed and a longer screw screw-threadably engages the cover and extends downwardly through the container to control the action of the valve diaphragm. Each time the valve is actuated, the container evacuates carrying with it dissolved disinfectant which mixes with the water under pressure passing into the toilet or urinal.

摘要： A cleaning and disinfecting article of manufacture and method are provided wherein the cleaning and disinfecting article of manufacture comprises a cleaning and disinfecting ingredient which includes a cleaning and disinfecting agent, a solid color indicator composition which includes a color indicator agent and a matrix agent supporting the color indicator agent, wherein the matrix agent is a matrix salt; and a stabilizing salt. The cleaning and disinfecting ingredient has a bleaching tendency relative to the color indicator agent such that when the solid color indicator composition is in an aqueous solution of the cleaning and disinfecting ingredient, the presence of the cleaning and disinfecting ingredient in the solution minimizes the display of color in the solution for as long as significant amounts of the cleaning and disinfecting ingredient are present. The continued release of the color indicator agent from the solid color indicator composition after depletion of the ingredient results in a substantial display of color whereby the depletion of the cleaning and disinfecting ingredient can be detected, and such that when the stabilizing salt is in the solution, the cation of the stabilizing salt in the solution displaces the cation of the matrix salt in the solid color indicator composition.
