摘要： A dual purpose hydraulic accumulator is adapted to store hydraulic fluid and to release a spring to apply vehicle brakes mechanically in the event of loss of hydraulic pressure. A cylindrical cavity in a fixed body member is divided by a free piston into a pressure chamber for hydraulic fluid and a spring chamber, preferably a gas cushion. A second piston exposed to one of these chambers serves to compress the brake spring. The dual purpose accumulator may be fitted to a trailer having hydraulic brakes and adapted to be hitched to a tractor. A metering valve on the tractor serves to controllably connect the accumulator to the hydraulic actuators. The tractor and trailer lines are releasably interconnected by a quick-release, twinline, self-sealing hydraulic coupling. The accumulator and brake lines on the trailer are automatically interconnected to apply the trailer brakes hydraulically in the event of trailer breakaway. The accumulator can be charged from a constant volume hydraulic pump utilizing an unloader valve.

摘要： A control valve for use in a dual or split brake system having a shuttle or warning piston movable from a centered position to opposed translated positions to energize a driver-warning lamp in response to a predetermined differential between separate supplied fluid pressures acting thereon. A divider member is provided in the control valve defining a flow passage therethrough for one of the supplied fluid pressures, and a proportioning valve is movable in said flow passage to control the application therethrough of the one supplied fluid pressure. A bypass passage for subjection to the one supplied fluid pressure is also provided in the divider member connected with the flow passage in bypass relation with the proportioning valve, and a valve member is normally urged into engagement with the divider member closing the bypass passage. A lost motion connection is provided between the valve member and the shuttle piston wherein said valve member is moved to a position opening the bypass passage upon the movement of said shuttle piston to one of its translated positions.

摘要： One embodiment provides a solenoid valve. The solenoid valve includes a fixed core, a movable core and a coil. A first valve seat member and a second valve seat member are fixed in the fixed core, and a valve body member is disposed therebetween. A spring member is interposed between the valve body member and the second valve seat member such that the valve body member is normally seated on the first valve seat member. The valve body member can move away from the first valve seat member to be seated on the second valve seat member, by being pushed by the movable core. And, a guide member holds the valve body member and the spring member to the second valve seat member so as not to move away from the second valve seat member.
