摘要： Disclosed are non-aqueous compositions capable of forming a gel structure, containing: (a) a low molecular mass N-acyl glutamic acid diamide having a straight-chain alkyl group; (b) a low molecular mass N-acyl glutamic acid diamide having a branched-chain alkyl group; (c) at least one gel-promoting solvent; (d) at least one film former; (e) at least one volatile solvent capable of solubilizing the film former; and (f) at least one colorant; and (g) a polyorganosiloxane-containing polymer, wherein the composition has a hardness value ranging from about 30 to about 300 gf, a melting point of about 500 C or higher, does not require use of wax as a structuring agent. Methods of making and using the compositions are also disclosed.

摘要： A topical anesthetic is provided containing about 3 wt % to 10 wt % tetracaine in a vehicle suitable for administration to the skin or mucosa. The vehicle for transporting the tetracaine includes a water soluble mucoadhesive or a combination of mucoadhesives such as a high molecular weight poly(ethylene oxide) homopolymer and a cellulose polymer. The vehicle also includes propylene glycol. The tetracaine is ground into a powder and is suspended in a plasticized hydrocarbon gel which completes the vehicle.

摘要： An oral care agent delivery device is provided which comprises a permanently deformable backing layer, an oral care layer, and a non-woven binding material with a first part that is substantially invested in the oral care layer and a second part that is substantially invested in the backing layer. The device is sized to fit over a plurality of teeth in an upper or lower dental arch of a subject. The oral care layer comprises at least one oral care agent and at least one hydrophilic polymer. When hydrated, the oral care layer has an adhesiveness relative to the surface of a user's teeth that is sufficient to retain the device on the user's teeth when placed thereon. The device can also have an oral care agent which is activated on hydration of the oral care layer, or an oral care layer which releases the oral care agent over time.
