The viewing device can be, inter alia, a computer, a printer, a display, or a facsimile machine.

While images are recorded on one set of recording medium, the first set is changed over to another set of recording medium by a change-over signal transmitted from a control section of the facsimile device, after finishing recording the images being received on the first set.
