摘要： Methods, apparatus and systems implementing robust link training processes and protocols. A first timer is implemented in a training state machine to detect timely responses to incoming requests when frame_lock is TRUE. A second timer is implemented to ensure the initial acquisition and re-acquisition of frame_lock occur within reasonable times. Additionally, no changes of coefficient field values in outgoing requests may occur when frame_lock is FALSE. Through use of the timers, the maximum times to acquire and re-acquire frame_lock are specified in combination with compliant escape paths that are added to the training state diagram. Under the time requirements, re-acquisition is fast, to prevent starvation of the control channel, while the time requirement for initial acquisition is longer in consideration of other start-up activities that are being performed concurrently.

摘要： The present invention provides a method and apparatus for performing hybrid automatic repeat request (HARQ) in a wireless communication system. A terminal transmits a plurality of code words on a physical uplink shared channel (PUSCH) and receives a plurality of acknowledgement/non-acknowledgement (ACK/NACK) signals, which indicates if each of the plurality of code words has been received, on each physical hybrid-ARQ indicator channel (PHICH) corresponding to the respective code words. A downlink resource for which each of the PHICHs is mapped is determined based on the smallest physical resource block (PRB) index (IPRB—RAlowest—index) among PRBs mapped by the PUSCH and on an uplink demodulation reference signal (DMRS) circular shift parameter (nDMRS), and those downlink resources for which PHICHs are mapped respectively do not overlap each other.

A set of data fragments are received at the data processing system to form a set of received data fragments. Assembly of the set of data fragments is initiated into a data packet, and a determination as to whether the data packet is an incomplete data packet. Responsive to a determination that the data packet is an incomplete data packet, the incomplete data packet is filled with at least one character to form a final data packet. The final data packet is forwarded to the target.

Each SDU is segmented into PDU(s), and each PDU includes data field element(s). The apparatus detects a current received PDU including data field element(s) that do not belong to a SDU, and handles the detected PDU. This handling includes one or more of (a) accepting the detected PDU but discarding the data field element(s) of the respective PDU; (b) discarding the detected PDU including the data field element(s) of the respective PDU; (c) processing the detected PDU and forming a SDU from the data field element(s) of the respective PDU; or (d) handling the error as a radio link failure. The apparatus then operates according to the standard with respect to the received PDUs after handling the detected PDU.

摘要： A wireless network is provided that includes a base station and subscriber stations that communicate with the base station using radio frequency (RF) time division duplex (TDD) signaling. The base station may establish medium access control (MAC) connections with each station. The base station monitors communications with the stations and, in accordance, assigns stations or MAC connections to modulation groups. The base station transmits signals on MAC connections or to stations in a modulation group in adjacent TDD slots within a TDD frame. The base station may receive access requests from the stations, evaluate traffic requirements for the stations, and determine a longest downlink portion for the stations. The base station then allocates downlink and uplink portions of a TDD frame according to the length of the longest downlink portion.
