    • A lightweight and easily erectable, collapsible and storable rack system for supporting music components adjacent to associated instruments. The racks can support microphones arranged about a drum set. The rack system includes fittings for horizontal bars that are pivotally attached to one another and foldable legs for the bars that allows for the system to be easily and neatly packed away during nonuse. Microphones can be pivotally attached to extendable arms, which in turn are pivotally attached to the horizontal bars. The arms can extend upward and downward from the bars, and be bendable to allow further versatility. Power and communication cables can also run through the legs and bars to the microphones.

    • A lock for a guitar stand includes a connecting housing (10), a locking housing (20), two arms (201), two lips (23) and a resilient element (21). The locking housing (20) is movably connected to the connecting housing (10).     • A stand (10) for supporting a musical instrument (12), such as a guitar, in an upright position when not in use and for retention on the instrument when the instrument is in use. The stand comprises a mounting base (22) secured to the rear surface of the instrument (18), and a support member (24) pivotally connected to the mounting base (22) and containing first and second foot portions (34A & B) and third foot portion (56). The pivotal attachment allows the support member (24) to be transitioned between a storage position adjacent the rear surface of the instrument (18) and a deployed position spaced away from the rear surface of the instrument (18) where, together with the bottom edge of the instrument (20), the first and second foot portions (34A & B) act to support the instrument (12). Third foot portion (56) engages a floor or other support surface providing fixative force to the support member allowing the instrument and mounting base to be pivoted away from the support member to the deployed position without the need to touch the stand. The support member (24) is spring-loaded and automatically returns to the storage position when the instrument (12) is lifted for use.

    • Slip-on covers for covering the cradle portions of a guitar stand. A guitar stand has a neck cradle and a body cradle for supporting a guitar. The covers are cylindrical pieces of soft fabric, having a top edge and an open bottom edge. A string is stitched to the inside surface of each cover, the string extending through the entire length of the cover, past the open bottom edge. A strip of hook and loop fasteners extends outward from the top edge of the cover. In use, the cover is slid downward over the arm. Once in place over the arms, the strings from each pair of covers are tied together in order to secure the covers in place. The strips of hook and loop fasteners are stretched around the circumference of the cover and secured thereto. Once the covers are in place, the guitar may be rested thereupon without fear of damage.

    • A musical instrument stand, for mounting and display of one or a plurality of musical instruments such as a guitar. The device features an elongated member that is either attachable to a wall or floor mounted. Instruments are mounted between a pair of upper and lower instrument mounts or clusters of mounting brackets, each having a rotatable support bars to contact the side of the guitar when the mounting brackets are slid toward each other on a slidable mount to the elongated member. Angled ends of the support bars restrain the instrument in the stand when the support bars are rotated to place the angled ends in front of the mounted instrument. Abrasion of the instrument surface is avoided using a slideable cushion on each support bar that insulates the instrument surface from the support bar during rotation. A lockable cover optionally prevents removal of the instrument from its mount without first unlocking the cover.
