    • The present invention relates to a processing device and a method of providing privacy for a display device comprising a display panel arranged to display a first image signal (405), the display panel having an off-axis tonal reproduction curve that is different from the on-axis tonal reproduction curve of the display panel, and the display panel comprising a group of adjacent subpixels, wherein subpixels of the group of adjacent subpixels contribute at least a common primary color component, and wherein the group of adjacent subpixels associated with at least one pixel; the method comprising modulating control signals of individual subpixels of the group of adjacent subpixels, using a second image signal (425), the control signals arranged to generate tonal values for at least two of the individual subpixels of the group of adjacent subpixels that are at least in part decorrelated from the first image signal when viewed off-axis, and to generate tonal values for the group of adjacent subpixels that on average correspond to the first image signal when viewed on-axis.

    • A liquid crystal display device capable of controlling a viewing angle is disclosed.The liquid crystal display device includes: a liquid crystal panel configured to include a plurality of quad type pixels each consisted of red, green, blue, and viewing angle control sub-pixels; and a timing controller configured to reply to a viewing angle mode selected by a user and apply red, green, and blue data and any one of a wide viewing angle control data, a first narrow viewing angle control data, and a second narrow viewing angle control data to the liquid crystal panel.As such, the LCD device controls a range of viewing angles, thereby allowing the image to be viewed from every direction or not to be viewed from the left and right directions or the upward diagonal directions in the center of the user. In other words, the LCD device can limit the image display according to the positions of the persons adjacent to the user. Therefore, the user using the LCD device can adjust it to freely share information or to limit its range with adjacent persons. Furthermore, the LCD device can enhance information reliability and security.

    • A display device is provided with a display section; a drive section driving the display section; and a light shutter control section controlling a light shutter. The display section is configured to display first and second images on the display section during a specific period. The drive section is configured to allow perceiving an image only from a direction in a specific viewing angle range at least during the specific period. The light shutter control section controls the light shutter so that the light shutter is placed into a transmitting state allowing transmitting light during a period during which the first image is displayed in the specific period and placed into a shielding state shielding light during a remaining period in the specific period. The first and second images are generated so that an image generated by adding brightnesses of respective pixels of the first and second images has no correlation to the first image.

    • The present disclosure provides a flat panel display device. A flat panel display device includes a display panel, a stand, and a multi-angle adjusting device. The multi-angle adjusting device includes a first shell fixed on the stand, a second shell cooperatively defining a receiving space with the first shell, a holder, a first motor, a second motor, and a third motor. The holder, the first, the second, and the third motors are received in the receiving space. The first motor is connected between the first shell and the holder, and rotates the holder about a first direction along the stand. The second motor is connected between the holder and the second shell, and moves about a second direction perpendicular to the first direction relative to the first shell. The third motor is connected between the second shell and the display panel, and rotates about a third direction which is perpendicular to the first and second directions.
