摘要： In a liquid crystal display device, there is provided a liquid crystal display panel in which a TFT substrate and a counter substrate are bonded together by a sealing material, with a liquid crystal sandwiched between the substrates. Further, a front window with a black border print formed in the periphery is bonded to the liquid crystal display panel by a UV curable resin. The liquid crystal, is filled by a drop method. The thickness of the TFT substrate and the counter substrate is reduced to about 0.2 mm toy polishing. An inner end of the black border print of the front window is inside an inner end of the sealing material, to prevent the counter substrate of the liquid crystal display panel from being deformed by stress generated In the curing of the UV curable resin, thereby preventing yellow discoloration in the periphery of the display area.

摘要： An image display device, and a production method thereof are provided, which maximize suppression of warping of a protective panel. A liquid crystal display panel and a transparent protective panel formed from a plastic are arranged facing each other via a cured resin. An outer dimension of the protective panel is made larger than an outer dimension of the display panel. Curing is carried out with an edge of the protective panel fixed with a fixing jig during and after curing. Alternatively, the outer dimension of the protective panel is substantially equal to an outer dimension of the display panel, which is substantially equal to an inner dimension of a case and the protective panel. Curing is carried out with the resin composition in contact with substantially the whole face of the protective panel.

Proposed is a surface protection panel disposed on the outer side of a liquid crystal display panel, that is to say, on the visible side of the liquid crystal display panel in a liquid crystal image display device equipped with a liquid crystal display panel. The surface protection panel has a constitution which a gas barrier transparent resin film having a gas barrier layer is layered on one side or on each side of a transparent synthetic resin plate, and the surface protection panel has a property which both the transparent synthetic resin plate and the gas barrier transparent resin film are non-stretched substantially, non-oriented or uniaxially oriented.

摘要： A transparent article, such as a transparent cover, for use as a cover glass for an electronic device, as well as methods for producing transparent articles, are disclosed. The transparent article can form a part of a housing of the portable electronic device and can provide an outer surface for a portion of the housing. The transparent article can be provided over a display of portable electronic device to provide a protective outer cover over the display. In one embodiment, the transparent article can be formed with a laminate structure. In another embodiment, the transparent article can be formed with a ribbed structure. In still another embodiment, a sapphire coating can be deposited on the transparent article to improve it strength. Advantageously, the transparent article is able to be not only thin and lightweight but also provide sufficient stiffness for use as a cover glass.

摘要： Provided is a novel double-sided pressure-sensitive adhesive sheet that can achieve both the repeelability and the reliability in the pressure sensitive adhesive surface such as the occurrence of foaming. Proposed is a repeelable double-sided pressure-sensitive adhesive sheet comprising a pressure sensitive adhesive layer containing a (meth)acrylate ester copolymer as a base polymer, in which the (meth)acrylate ester copolymer has a content of a carboxyl group-containing monomer as a copolymerization component of 2% by mass or less and the pressure sensitive adhesive layer is curable by heat or ultraviolet light and satisfies the following physical properties (1) and (2): (1) a 180° peel force is 5.0 N/cm or more when one surface of the double-sided pressure-sensitive adhesive sheet is superimposed on soda lime glass, a roller of 1 kg is reciprocated one time to crimp the two, the crimped resultant is allowed to stand for 24 hours in an environment of a temperature of 23° C. and a relative humidity of 40% RH, and then the double-sided pressure-sensitive adhesive sheet is peeled off from the soda lime glass at a temperature of 23° C. and a peel rate of 60 mm/min; and (2) a 180° peel force is 4.0 N/cm or less when one surface of the double-sided pressure-sensitive adhesive sheet is superimposed on soda lime glass, a roller of 1 kg is reciprocated one time to crimp the two, the crimped resultant is allowed to stand for 24 hours in an environment of a temperature of 23° C. and a relative humidity of 40% RH and allowed to absorb moisture by storing for 15 hours in a humidified environment of a temperature of 60° C. and 90% RH, and then the double-sided pressure-sensitive adhesive sheet is peeled off from the soda lime glass at a temperature of 23° C. and a peel rate of 60 mm/min immediately after absorbing moisture.

摘要： Light emitted by a backlight can be prevented from leaking through a chamfered portion of a front window of a liquid crystal display device. An upper polarizing plate is bonded over the counter substrate, and a front window is bonded over the upper polarizing plate with a UV-curable resin adhesive. The front window is chamfered and a light shielding member is formed on the chamfered portion. The UV adhesive exists between the chamfered portion and the surface of the upper polarizing plate or the counter substrate, and an outer end of the polarizing plate exists at a point outer than an outer end of the front window. Since the light shielding member for the chamfered portion is formed, light from the backlight does not penetrate from the chamfered portion. Thus, light leakage at a periphery of a screen can be prevented even when the view angle is large.

The present invention includes the double-sided tape (20) that uses optically clear adhesive(OCA) as the top adhesive (24) applied to the top of the film (21) and uses pressure sensitive adhesive(PSA) as the bottom adhesive (25) applied to the bottom of the film (21).The effects of the present invention are the provision of good visibility, the prevention of scratches or damages caused by external shocks and the embodiment in an easily replaceable way.
