    • A pipe test plug for scaling and pressure testing a water utility supply line or other pressurized pipe has a plug body sized and shaped for insertion into an open end of a water supply line. The plug body has an inner and an outer end, with first and second spaced apart annular seals supported on the plug body. The annular seals and plug body together seal the water supply line when the pipe test plug is inserted therein. A securing member extends through at least one portion of the water supply line and into the plug body inserted therein for securing the pipe test plug in the water supply line under test pressure, the securing member being received in the plug body between the second annular seal and the other end of the plug body. The plug body may include first and second cylindrical seal plates each defining a peripheral groove for respectively receiving and supporting the first and second annular seals. The cylindrical seal plates are connected by web portions. A mounting tab joined with the plug body and extending generally along the plug body and spaced therefrom to accommodate the distal end of a water supply line. The mounting tab defining an opening for guiding the securing member through the supply line and into the plug body. An insertion stop positions the test plug in the water service line.

    • A device for leak-testing a pipeline system which can be left in place after the test is completed. A bushingnulldesigned to receive a detachable capnullis attached to a wrench collar and a threaded collar, which all share a common axis. A pressure-activated one-way valve seats against a valve seat disposed along the common axis. The threaded collar of the device is coupled to the opening of a test tee. Fluid passes from a source through the one-way valve into the interconnected pipeline system. After the operator completes the testing for leaks in the pipeline system, a cap may be attached to the bushing.

    • A unitary removable barrier for installation in a cylindrical water line to selectively block the water line to passage of water therethrough. The unitary removable barrier is composed of a single piece body having at least one cylindrical section sized to receive upstream and downstream pipes of the water line. A planar disk is molded with the cylindrical section and is of a circular circumference which completely blocks the water line but which is selectively removable from the cylindrical section thus removing the barrier to the passage of water through the line. Removal of the barrier is facilitated through the use of a piercing device and pull tab which can be actuated from a position outside of the waste line.

    • The present invention provides a single compact fitting for air, CO.sub.2, or nitrogen pressure testing either gas piping or waste piping. Each fitting is used for gas pipes of a particular outside diameter and waste pipes of a single larger diameter. The typical plumber would have a set, for example four, of the inventive fittings available, one for each size waste pipe that is be tested. The inventive fitting couples easily to either gas fuel piping or waste piping. A single air-pressure gauge is used to test either type of piping system. The inventive fitting is not limited to waste, vent, or gas piping systems; it can also be used to couple to other piping systems. The inventive fitting, in addition to being more versatile than conventional air-pressure test fittings, is also smaller and more compact.

    • An apparatus which tests the internal integrity of, or isolates, a segment of pipe having an internal diameter. The apparatus comprises an annular body with opposite annular faces and defining on its outer perimeter, an annular recess, a pair of bosses, a pair of resilient annular members adapted to be respectively juxtaposed between an adjacent boss and annular face; means for urging the bosses respectively against the adjacent resilient annular member so as to urge the same in frictionally engage and to seal against the internal diameter of the selected pipe segment and, means communicating through the apparatus to that plenum now defined by said recess, the resilient annular members and the internal diameter of the pipe whereby the integrity of that pipe segment may be determined. The apparatus further includes a vent or passage through which the contents of the pipe upstream of the apparatus are allowed to pass.
