摘要： An air handling unit that includes a main support member and front, rear and top covers mounted on said support that forms a housing for enclosing said unit. The covers have side walls that close over the support frame in abutting contact to form an interlocking seam therebetween at closure. Ribs are mounted upon the side walls of the support frame which bias the side walls of the covers outwardly to render the seam relatively air tight at closure. Two covers are securely affixed to the main support member while the other is removably attached to the main support member by a latching means. A HEPA filter is mounted in the main support member along with a blower system for drawing air through said housing.

摘要： A filter screen assembly for use with an air intake unit, the air intake unit having a top, a bottom and at least one side wall. A flexible screen is provided as a roll wound onto a spindle. The spindle is held within a vertically extending container secured to the side of the unit. The container has a bottom and side walls which define an open interior for receiving the spindle and the spindle is rotatably supported at opposite ends within the container. The flexible screen is unwound from the spindle and is attached to the sides of the unit at predetermined locations around the periphery of the unit. The spindle may further be dismounted from the container and the flexible screen manually rewound onto the spindle.

摘要： The air filtering fixture is for suspension from the ceiling of a room to filter out unwanted tobacco smoke. The fixture has a housing formed of peripheral walls defining a generally vertical air path. The housing has an upper compartment portion and a lower flared hood portion. An air filter assembly is located within the upper compartment and a lighting assembly is situated within the hood portion below the filter assembly. At least one fan assembly is located above the filter assembly in the upper compartment. The fixture intakes air through a bottom opening in the flared hood portion and propels the air as an air stream upwardly out of a top opening in the upper compartment and toward the ceiling. A toroidal air movement about the housing is facilitated which induces unfiltered air laterally external to the housing to move downwardly from above the housing and enter the bottom opening to be filtered. An access opening in the housing permits easy filter replacement.

摘要： A portable air cleaner comprising a cylindrical filter element mounted on a circular base and encased by a cylindrical cover. A centrifugal fan mounted within the cover draws unpurified air into inlet openings disposed in the base and the side wall of the cover, and through the filter element. The resulting purified air is drawn into the centrifugal fan and forced radially outward therefrom. An air deflector dish redirects the purified air through the exhaust openings disposed on the top surface of the cylindrical cover. Such an exhaust flow which is perpendicular to and spaced from the inlet flow results in an improved efficiency in purifying the entire volume of air within a room.

The apparatus combines a high efficiency particulate air filter, a gas-adsorbent element, a means for moving air, a means for releasing a pleasant odor and a means for sound masking. The odor-releasing means and sound-producing means are designed to improve the affective state, and thereby the task-performance, of persons working in the space being treated. Preferred fragrances are citrus, floral, eucalyptus and mint, released at about 1 to 20 mg/hr. The sound masking is preferably accomplished by a sound-generating device which generates pink noise.

摘要： An ultraviolet lamp fixture for purifying the air within a room by means of passing the air over a plurality of hot cathode or other commercially available ultraviolet ray tubes. The tubes are mounted vertically within a decoratively covered, easily movable, pole-mounted housing having a motorized fan which moves air through an opening in the lower portion of the housing over the tubes for purification. The purified air stream is exhausted through the top portion of the housing and returned to the room. The interior of the housing has deflector vanes which function to create a turbulent air flow in the area of the tubes to insure that all of the air passing through the lamp fixture is purified by contacting the lamps. The lamp fixture is provided with means for filtering the circulating air. In an alternate embodiment, the air passes through a dehumidifier prior to passing by the tubes.
