摘要： The removable plug features a solid material that is housed in a porous container that has its shape changed to transition from the run in shape to the set shape. A swage is moved through a passage in the container to enlarge the passage and move the container to a borehole wall. The passage is then closed such as with a flapper valve or by moving in a mandrel into the expanded passage and lodging the mandrel in the expanded passage. Various release techniques are described.

The one or more passages is configured and disposed to guide downhole fluids into the second void forcing the first sealing surface against a wellbore.

Extending members that are initially embedded in the seal while extending from the tubular wall that defines the recess move out during the expansion to engage the surrounding tubular to act as extrusion barriers and to aid in the fixation of the seal while being able to penetrate the wall of the surrounding tubular in so doing.

摘要： A downhole tool accommodates a feed-through line running along a tubing string. The tool has a mandrel and a sleeve disposed on the mandrel. The feed-through line runs adjacent the mandrel and can be accommodated in a groove defined in an inner dimension of the sleeve. When deployed and compressed, the sleeve is compressible from an uncompressed state to a compressed state in which the sleeve expands radially outward to seal in casing or borehole. The sleeve defines a radial spiral slit along a length of the sleeve and wraps around the mandrel and the feed-through line. External spacing of the radial slit on an exterior of the sleeve can vary along the length of the sleeve, and a cross-sectional angle of the radial slit from an interior to an exterior of the sleeve can vary along the length of the sleeve.

The apparatus includes a tubular body (12), arranged to be run into and secured within the well bore. A sleeve member (14) is positioned on the exterior of the body and is sealed thereto creating a chamber (16) therebetween. Pressure is applied through a port (18) in the body to cause the sleeve member to move outwardly and morph to an inner wall of the well bore. Pressure is trapped in the chamber and maintained at a morphed pressure value by pressure balancing means in the form of a biased piston (64).
