A tyre deflation warning device comprises a sleeve 1 and a cap 2 enclosing a valve head 7, the cap 2 being connected to the tyre inflation valve to allow the inflation air to act on the valve head 7 and normally hold it closed on its sleeve-end seat against the action of a suitably adjusted spring 10 within the sleeve 1, the valve 7 being opened by the spring 10 on a fall in the inflation pressure to allow air to pass into the sleeve 1 and thence via a passage 6 to operate a whistle 5. The spring 10 surrounds the valve stem 8 and bears on a valve guide 9 which is adjustably screwed into the sleeve 1 to permit of adjustment of the spring. The lift of the valve 7 is adjustable by means of stop nuts 12, on the end of the valve stem 8, which abut the end of the valve guide 9 on maximum valve opening, this latter being set to prevent closure by the valve 7 of the tyre valve connecting portion 3 of the cap 2.
