摘要： Herein is disclosed a flue gas scrubbing composition, a method of using the flue gas scrubbing composition, and a method of entombing mercury collected with the flue gas scrubbing composition. The flue gas scrubbing composition includes an admixture of a mercury sorbent material that comprises a clay, copper, and sulfur; and lime that comprises calcium oxide and/or calcium hydroxide. The method of collecting mercury from a flue gas includes injecting the flue gas scrubbing composition of any one of the preceding claims into a flue duct comprising the flue gas; reacting the mercury sorbent material with mercury in the flue gas to form a mercury-sorbed material and thereby reducing the concentration of mercury in the flue gas; reacting the lime with SO2, SO3, and/or HCl in the flue gas to form a calcium sulfate and/or a calcium chloride; and collecting a mixture that includes the mercury-sorbed material. The method of entombing mercury includes mixing the collected mixture of any one of claims 6 to 9 with water to form a freshly mixed concrete; and casting the freshly mixed concrete into a form.

摘要： Described is an organotemplate-free synthetic process for the production of a zeolitic material having an LEV-type framework structure comprising YO2 and optionally comprising X2O3, wherein said process comprises:(1) preparing a mixture comprising seed crystals and one or more sources for YO2; and (2) crystallizing the mixture obtained in step (1); wherein Y is a tetravalent element, and X is a trivalent element, wherein the zeolitic material optionally comprises one or more alkali metals M, and wherein the seed crystals comprise zeolitic material having an LEV-type framework structure. Also described is a zeolitic material having an LEV-type framework structure obtainable by said process, as well as an organotemplate-free zeolitic material having an LEV-type framework structure comprising YO2 and optionally comprising X2O3, wherein Y is a tetravalent element, and X is a trivalent element, wherein the zeolitic material optionally comprises one or more alkali metals M, wherein said zeolitic material is non-calcined.

The method of this disclosure comprises introducing a precursor composition onto a production tool having at least one continuous surface and a plurality of cavities so as to fill at least a portion of the cavities with the precursor composition and wherein the precursor composition, upon curing, forms a composition having a shape corresponding to the cavities thereby resulting in a plurality of discrete, precisely-shaped particles having a porosity comprising one of the following: (a) 10 m2/g or greater or (b) 5 kdalton or greater. The precisely-shaped particles have at least one essentially flat side. The precisely-shaped particles can be confined in a vessel and used for chromatographic applications.

The observable average width of the primary particles may be 0.3 micron or less and the observable average width of the secondary particles may be 0.8 micron or more. The basic magnesium sulfate granules can be produced by drying a water-containing granular composition comprising agglomerated particles of fibrous basic magnesium sulfate particles and fibrous xonotolite particles which have a water content of 40 to 60 wt. % for 36 hours or more, thereby obtaining a granular composition having a water content of 3 wt. % or less.

摘要： An adsorbent composition and method of using the adsorbent composite is described. The method for removing heavy metals from contaminated water is done by mixing contaminated water having a concentration of one or more heavy metals with an adsorbent composite comprising granules of a mixture of 50.363 wt % kaolin clay, a 4.477 wt % roasted date pits powder, a 5.54 wt % silica powder a 14.99 wt % magnesite powder and a 24.623 wt % water. After reacting the contaminated water and adsorbent composite together for a specific time the water is filtered and was found to contain reduced amount of heavy metals. The cleaned water can further be used for industrial cooling systems or watering gardens.
