摘要： To improve in pulse cleaning of filters, a filter element includes a media pack of Z-media having first and second opposite flow faces and a side wall extending between the first and second flow face. A gasket is secured to the side wall. The gasket has a sealing portion and an attachment portion. The sealing portion has a flat surface at least one inch long and is located between being planar with and 0.5 inches recessed from the first flow face, inclusive. A dust collector includes a housing with a dirty air inlet, a clean air outlet, and an interior; a tubesheet in the housing interior having a plurality of openings; a plurality of panel-style filter elements mounted in a respective one of the openings in the tubesheet; and a plurality of blowpipes, with each being oriented to direct a fluid pulse at a respective one of the panel-style filter elements. The filter elements include a media pack of Z-media, a gasket that is between planar with and 0.5 inches recessed from the first flow face, in which the gasket forms a seal with the tubesheet. The blowpipes direct a pulse at an angle that is not normal to a plane of the openings in the tubesheet and not in line with a general direction of filtration flow through the filter element. A method of cleaning a filter element installed in a dust collector includes providing a filter element and periodically pulsing a jet of gas into the downstream flow face to cause at least some particulate material on an upstream side of the Z-media to be removed from the Z-media.

摘要： An improved filtration apparatus, filtering method and filtering material for capturing mercury and other pollutants in pollutant-laden fluid streams such as flue gases generated by process gas streams are disclosed. The improved filtration system may include two pollutant remediation layers, an upstream layer capable of filtering particulates and a downstream layer capable of adsorbing and/or catalyzing pollutants such as mercury, dioxin, furans, and NOx. The improved filtration system may be in the form of a particulate filter bag. The particulate filter bag may be configured for use in a reverse air filtration system with the upstream layer facing an internal volume of the bag. The upstream layer may include an ePTFE layer laminated to the upstream side of the upstream layer.

The method includes providing a plurality of work sites containing workpieces, positioning a track connecting the sites, providing a mobile system comprising an enclosure and a treatment system in communication with a space enclosed by the enclosure, moving the mobile system so that the enclosure surrounds the workpieces on the first site, processing those workpieces, moving the mobile system along the track as a single unit onto a second work site, and processing those workpieces on the second site. The enclosure may be readily openable at opposing portions facing the track to enable the enclosure to pass over workpieces on the plurality of work sites. Additionally, a method of constructing an operation for processing workpieces is provided.
