    • The pushbutton stopcock assembly has a sleeve with outer ports, a body portion with inner ports, and a pushbutton to actuate a rotation of the body portion. Each outer port of the sleeve connects to a fluid passageway for the introduction of fluids, and each inner port is in fluid connection with the other inner ports. In this manner, fluids flow and travel from fluid passageways, through the outer ports, and through the inner ports. The body portion has a first end with a spring and a second end with a cam. The pushbutton abuts the second end portion of the body portion, such that depressing the pushbutton engages the cam to be cooperative with a complementary cam within the sleeve so as to rotate the body portion a set amount. Each set amount of rotation corresponds to a particular alignment of the outer ports and inner ports.

    • A connector (1) that can be connected to a first container and a second container (20) to transfer a liquid between the first container and the second container (20) includes a first connecting portion (3) that is engageable with the first container and a second connecting portion (4) that is engageable with the second container (20). The second connecting portion (4) is integrally provided with an engagement portion that is engageable with the second container (20) and a needle-like portion (7) for piercing into the second container (20). Thus, it is possible to prevent a container from falling off during liquid transfer. Also, since the needle-like portion (7) is integral with the second connecting portion (4), connection to the second container (20) is facilitated.

    • A valve assembly for use with a catheter assembly is provided. The valve assembly includes a valve housing defining a longitudinal axis and adapted for fluid engagement with a catheter assembly. The valve housing has an internal passageway for flow of fluids relative to the catheter assembly. A valve member is at least partially disposed within the valve housing and defines a valve passage. The valve member is adapted for movement within the valve housing between an open position wherein the valve passage is in general alignment with the internal passageway of the valve housing to permit flow of fluids through the valve housing, and a closed position to substantially occlude the internal passageway of the valve housing. An actuation mechanism is selectively movable in a general longitudinal direction to cause corresponding movement of the valve member between the open position and the closed position.
