    • To alleviate ice freeze-up of vehicle windows which incorporate spaced upper and lower seals which engage an outside surface of the vehicle window, a tool is provided with a handle and a blade extending from the handle and the blade has a bend and a distal end which is curved outwardly in the plane of the blade. The length of the blade segment between the bend and its distal end is selected to be slightly longer than the distance between the upper and lower seals whereby this blade segment may be inserted between the window outside surface and the upper and lower seals and then slid along the window to sever any ice seal existing between the outside window surface and the upper and lower seals to free up the frozen vehicle window for normal operation.

    • A scraper head of a scraping tool includes (i) a base having a longitudinal axis, longitudinally opposing first and second ends, and an interior threaded surface defining a longitudinally extending cavity within the base, the cavity having an open end at the first base end and a closed end within the base, and (ii) a pair of blades extending from the second base end so as to terminate in respective end portions which converge to a tip aligned with the base axis. The cavity in the base of the scraper head can threadedly and securely receive the threaded end portion of an extension pole. In use, the tip of the scraper head is positioned at the junction between a textured ceiling and a wall, and the scraper head is moved with the extension pole along the junction such that the blade end portions cut away excess texture material. A straight line is created at the junction in preparation for painting of the wall.

A molded composite block including a fulcrum portion and a frog portion is positioned adjacent to a lower surface of the blade such that the fulcrum portion extends away from a lower surface of the blade and the frog portion is situated within and configured to fill the back-side cavity. Attachment rivets extend through aligned apertures in the fulcrum portion of the composite block and the blade to fasten the composite block to the blade. A tang element has a first end secured to the frog portion of the composite block, and a second end secured to the tool handle, to interconnect the frog portion of the composite block with the end of the tool handle inserted into the handle receiving socket of the tool head.

    • A satellite dish cleaning apparatus and method is disclosed in one preferred embodiment of the present invention as including a handle member removably disposed within an elongated opening integrally formed at a first end of an intermediate member. The intermediate member is preferably formed having a substantially curvilinear neck portion extending substantially at an angle between approximately 10.degree. to 170.degree. from the first end to a second end of the intermediate member. Preferably, formed at the second end of the intermediate member is a retaining assembly for removably retaining a first end of a satellite dish engaging member. In addition, formed at a second end of the satellite dish engaging member is a contacting surface having a configuration substantially conforming with the concave facing surface of a satellite dish. In the preferred embodiment, the contacting surface of the removable satellite dish engaging member may comprise, for example, a rigid angular scraping and/or scooping means, a cleaning brush, or a resilient, elastomeric material.

A method of changing a scraper element on the scraper and brush apparatus includes the steps of placing the scraper element against the brush body portion so that the engaging projection fits into the engaging recess, securing the scraper element to the brush body portion with the fastener.
