摘要： A sheet processing apparatus includes a first detector configured to detect a leading edge of a sheet conveyed in a conveying direction, a second detector provided on a downstream side of the first detector in the sheet conveying direction to detect the leading edge of the sheet conveyed, a punching portion, in the downstream side of the first detector in the sheet conveying direction, to move in a sheet width direction crossing the sheet conveying direction and perform a punching process for the sheet, an edge detector configured to move in the width direction together with the punching portion and detect the edge of the sheet conveyed in the width direction, and a controller, on the basis of at least either of information of a conveying speed of the sheet and a sheet length in the conveying direction, when the edge detector starts movement in the width direction after the first or second detector detects the leading edge of the sheet, to judge whether the edge detector can detect the edge of the sheet or not, as a result of the judgment, selecting the detector positioned on the most downstream side in the conveying direction among the first and second detectors which can be used, and when the selected first or second detector detects the leading edge of the sheet conveyed, permitting the edge detector to start movement to detect the edge of the sheet in the width direction.

摘要： According to an embodiment, a method for color erasing process includes the steps of: supplying a power to a heat source configured to heat a sheet having an image formed thereon using a color erasable material so as to cause heat generation as warming-up control; stopping the power supply to the heat source for a predetermined period of time in the warming-up control if the temperature of the heat source is increased starting from a temperature lower than a predetermined reference value that is lower than a color erasing temperature of the color erasable material and exceeds the predetermined reference value; performing maintenance control that is power supply control to maintain the temperature of the heat source at the target temperature; and performing, after the passage of the predetermined period of time, a color erasing process by the heat source.

摘要： According to one embodiment of the present invention, an erasing apparatus includes a used sheet stacking tray, an image erasing unit, a stand-by tray, a stand-by tray driving unit, and an erased sheet stacking tray. The used sheet stacking tray stacks thereon a used sheet on which an image is formed using an erasable colorant of which a color is erased by a predetermined heating process. The image erasing unit performs the heating for the used sheet which is received one by one from the used sheet stacking tray and discharges an erased sheet from which the image formed on the used sheet is erased. The stand-by tray has a mechanism which can be driven in a predetermined direction and places thereon the erased sheet discharged by the image erasing unit. The stand-by tray driving unit drives the stand-by tray and enables the erased sheet to free-drop. The erased sheet stacking tray is disposed under the stand-by tray and stacks thereon the erased sheet which free-drops from the stand-by tray.
