摘要： A support structure which can hold an image reading apparatus in a vertically placed condition is provided. On a bottom portion of an apparatus main body 1 in such a horizontally placed condition that a document table glass 2 is installed nearly horizontally, a storage portion 1c for storing the support structure is provided, and support structures 31, 32, 33 are released from the storage portion and get into around the side of a document cover 6 and a hinge 7, from the bottom portion, and holds the apparatus main body 1 in a vertically placed condition.

摘要： The present invention provides crystals of the compound represented by formula (I): crystals of a vitamin D derivative which are obtained by purifying a crude or preliminarily purified product of the vitamin D derivative through a reverse phase chromatography and then crystallizing the purified derivative from an organic solvent; novel compounds which are formed during the synthesis of a vitamin D derivative as by-product; and a method for purifying a vitamin D derivative or the precursor thereof. The method of the present invention makes it possible to supply a highly purified vitamin D derivative, especially ED-71, in bulk and steadily.

摘要： A motor control apparatus is arranged to drive and control a motor for transmitting the rotating force of the motor through a gear train. In reversing the rotation of the motor, the motor is caused to rotate at a speed higher than a normal rotation speed for a period of time which is about the same as a period of time required for absorbing a clearance or play existing between the gears. In this instance, since the motor is under no load, the motor is rotated at the higher speed with a small current and a small torque. The arrangement effectively lessens a noise generated in reversing the rotation of the motor due to the clearance or play existing in the motor driving force transmitting part.
