摘要： A computer system, method, and computer program product for controlling access to an application program in a wireless device connected to an ad-hoc communications network. The method comprises sending an inquiry message to the network, receiving a response, choosing a selected application, and examining control parameters associated with the selected application. The control parameters dictate a behavior of the selected application such as allowing or refusing communication with the selected application. When a nearby wireless device includes a matching application, connecting the selected application and the matching application further comprises sending a connection request, receiving connection response, launching the selected application, and sending a service request. When the selected application closes, the method further comprises erasing the selected application. To choose the selected application, the method further comprises retrieving an entry from a distributed application directory or selecting the application based on a priority assigned to the entry.

摘要： A mobile terminal is equipped for SMS payment and service authentication with a remote transaction provider. The remote provider uses common secrets & a seed in a keyed Hash Machine Address Code (HMAC) executing a Message Digest Algorithm to generate a list of authentication token (username-password) for the purchase of services an/or goods. The common secrets and seed are shared with local redemption devices which also generate the list of authentication token. A subscriber conducts payment with the remote transaction provider and receives an authentication token corresponding to the purchased service. The subscriber provides the authentication token to the redemption device which compares the authentication token with sets of valid authentication tokens generated by the redemption terminal. If the comparison indicates a match, the redemption device provides the service to the subscriber.

摘要： A system and method of performing device detection and service discovery in a mobile ad hoc communications network, each network node storing a local application directory. One of the network nodes is selected to be a directory server node that stores a combined application directory. The directory server node sends an inquiry message to a listening node when the listening node enters the coverage area of the directory server node. The listening node sends a notification message to the directory server node that includes the local application directory stored in the listening node. The directory server node compares the received local application directory to the combined application directory and updates the combined application directory accordingly. The directory server node sends an update message to each network node by sending an update portion of the combined application directory. Each network node updates the local application directories accordingly.

摘要： A re-registration authorization is attached to a registration request or data packet sent from a mobile node roaming on a foreign network. The mobile node requests registration with its home network in order to maintain communication with the Internet and maintain identification of the mobile node by its individual home address. Such registration has a limited lifetime, and the re-registration authorization attached to the registration request or other data packet authorizes an intermediate communication entity in the foreign network to re-register the mobile node, on behalf of the mobile node, with the mobile node's home network, if the communication traffic of the mobile node indicates that the mobile node is still roaming on the foreign network. The rate of error is reduced by significantly reducing the amount of transmissions sent from the mobile node, and power consumption of the typically battery-powered mobile unit is reduced, as well.
