摘要： Methods, base stations and access terminals for uplink signalling are provided. Resource request channel characteristics such as location in time-frequency, sequence, time slot, are assigned to each access terminal to distinguish their resource requests from the resource requests of other access terminals. Access terminals make requests using a resource request on a resource request channel having the assigned characteristics. The base station can then determine which access terminal transmitted 0 the resource request based on the resource request channel characteristics of the resource request channel upon which the resource>request was received. The base station then transmits a response to the request which may for example be a new resource allocation, a default allocation or a renewal of a previous allocation.

摘要： Embodiments of system, device, and method configurations for managing inter-radio access technology (inter-RAT) mobility of handovers between a UMTS Terrestrial Radio Access Network (UTRAN) or GSM EDGE Radio Access Network (GERAN) and an evolved UMTS Terrestrial Radio Access Network (E-UTRAN) to avoid scenarios of in-device coexistence (IDC) interference are disclosed herein. In one example, the existence and types of IDC interference with an E-UTRAN Long Term Evolution (LTE)/Long Term Evolution-Advanced (LTE-A) network are determined and communicated to the UTRAN/GERAN in an IDC indication signal. The IDC indication signal may communicate the existence and type of IDC interference occurring at user equipment, such as between licensed LTE/LTE-A and unlicensed industrial scientific medical (ISM) radio frequency bands. Accordingly, the UTRAN/GERAN may use information provided from the IDC indication signal to prevent a handover to the E-UTRAN that would result in IDC interference.

摘要： A technology for a user equipment (UE) is disclosed that is operable in an anchor-booster architecture of a multiple radio access technology (multi-RAT) heterogeneous network (HetNet). Control information to an anchor cell can be transmitted from a wireless wide area network (WWAN) node in the multi-RAT UE. Data packets of the multi-RAT UE can be selected for transmission via one of the WWAN node and a wireless local area network (WLAN) node in the multi-RAT UE using a multi-RAT coordination function (MRCF) module. Each data packet from one of the WWAN node and the WLAN cell can be transmitted to a multi-RAT small cell evolved node B (SC-eNode B) based on the selection by the MRCF module.

摘要： In order to minimize the control signaling overhead associated with transmitting CQI data from mobile stations to base stations in wireless communication networks supporting MU-MIMO, the CQI during MU-MIMO operation is estimated based on SU-MIMO CQI data, mobile station geometry data, and mobile station PMI (Precoding Matrix Index) data. More particularly, the base station maintains and updates a knowledge pool that correlates geometry data and learned impact of interfering precoder data to degradation of CQI values responsive to switching from SU-MIMO operation to MU-MIMO operations. Then, when the base station switches from SU-MIMO operation to MU-MIMO operation, it consults the knowledge pool to predict the degradation in CQI and subtracts them from the known, pre-switching SU-MIMO CQI feedback data for each relevant mobile station to predict the post-switching MU-MIMO CQIs for that mobile station.

The method includes generating at the BS a plurality of MAC PDU packets with a payload component holding service flow data and a plurality of MAC PDU packets without payload component, carrying control information. The method also includes transmitting wirelessly the MAC PDU packets with the payload component and the MAC PDU packets with the control information to the SS.
