    • Localized areas within a cell of a cellular wireless communication network, wherein users experience high traffic loads or poor coverage, are automatically detected and positioned by a network-based monitoring and positioning method. The localized areas are detected by performing measurements (e.g., TAdv, AOA, and neighbor node measurements) on User Equipment (UE) indicating or recording a network capacity or coverage deficiency. The detected, localized area of deficient performance is then positioned (e.g., in latitude and longitude), such as by positioning one or more UE within the area. The deficient network capacity or coverage, the localized area in which it is concentrated, and the position of the localized area are then reported, with a recommendation to deploy a low-power serving node within the localized area (e.g., at or near the area reported position) to alleviate the capacity or coverage deficiency, while minimizing interference with communication services to other users within the cell.

    • In a Circuit Switched Services over Long Term Evolution via Generic Access Network, CSoLTEvGAN architecture (600), relations between E-UTRAN cells (9201) and Generic Access Network, GAN cells (9101) are configured manually in a generic access node controller, GANC (910). This may become a tremendous burden for the operator. The current invention overcomes this by automatically build the needed relations. This is accomplished by determining at the GANC (910), cell identification information for an E-UTRAN cell (9201) and cell identification information for a GERAN or UTRAN cell (1101) overlaying the E-UTRAN cell (9201). The GAN cell (9101) is determined based on the cell identification information for the GERAN or UTRAN cell (1101). An entry within a translation table (1000) is created so that the cell identification information for the E-UTRAN cell (9201) is mapped to the cell identification information for the GAN cell (9101), or vice versa.

    • The present invention relates to a method and a network control node in a wireless communications system, for controlling bandwidth and controlling access in a femto cell. According to the method of the present invention, infoπnation on an available bandwidth measured between a femto RBS serving the femto cell, and a network node, is determined and provided to the network control node. Information on a bandwidth purchased by at least one subscribing user in the femto cell is also acquired at the network control node. The method further comprises calculating in the network control node and based on the provided information, a bandwidth that the wireless network can provide to non-subscribing users in the femto cell and further controlling the bandwidth and controlling access in the cell based in the calculated bandwidth.

    • In a radio access network (24) a femto radio base station (28f) comprises a resident receiver (54) which acquires system information broadcast in a radio access network (24). At least part of the system information is used for building, at the femto radio base station (28f), a neighbor data structure (59) comprising information for neighboring cells. The neighbor data structure (59) is then used for building a neighbor list. The neighbor list is subsequently transmitted from the femto radio base station (28f) to a user equipment unit (30) served by the femto radio base station (28f). In some example embodiments and modes, the femto radio base station (28f) reports the neighbor data structure to a network node (26, 100) other than the femto radio base station. The other node (26, 100) uses the neighbor data structure for building the neighbor list at the other node. In some example embodiments and modes, acquisition of the system information comprises scanning a surrounding macro coverage area of the femto radio base station for obtaining cell identity information for detected cells. In other example embodiments and modes, the acquisition of the system information can additionally comprise camping on a macro cell and using/consulting at least one system information block in the camped-on macro cell is consulted/used for obtaining information about at least one neighboring cell.
