摘要： Personal portal pages for individual users are integrated with web content syndication. For example, when a search query is received from the user, a list of hits is generated. For each hit, it is determined whether there is an associated syndication feed, such as an RSS feed. The list of hits is displayed for the user, and a syndication option is included for each hit that has an associated syndication feed. The user can select the syndication option and thereby subscribe their personal portal page to that syndication feed. In some embodiments, the user may also be able to select syndication feeds for subscription via an alternative interface.

摘要： The invention relates to a method for determining if a test compound, or a mix of compounds, modulates the interaction between two proteins of interest. The determination is made possible via the use of two recombinant molecules, one of which contains the first protein a cleavage site for a proteolytic molecules, and an activator of a gene. The second recombinant molecule includes the second protein and the proteolytic molecule. If the test compound binds to the first protein, a reaction is initiated whereby the activator is cleaved, and activates a reporter gene.

摘要： A pipe coupler for use in connecting a pair of automotive exhaust pipe ends each having a circumferential rib. The pipe coupler includes a ribbed band and internal split sealing sleeve along with a tightening mechanism for clamping the band and sleeve over the pipe ends. The sealing sleeve fits within the band and both the sleeve and band have a pair of ribs positioned to fit over the ribs on the pipe ends. The sleeve extends circumferentially from a first end to a second end, and includes a tongue-and-groove sealing configuration located axially inwardly of the ribs at the first and second ends. Each tongue has a particular construction that accommodates larger clamp opening dimensions required to fit the coupler over the pipe ribs during assembly. The sleeve can include inwardly protruding sealing beads that help prevent leakage of exhaust gases from the pipe junction.

摘要： Computer systems and methods allow users to annotate content items found in a corpus such as the World Wide Web. Annotations, which can include any descriptive and/or evaluative metadata related to a document, are collected from a user and stored in association with that user. Users are able to annotate and view their annotations for any document they encounter while interacting with the corpus, including hits returned in a search of the corpus. Users are also able to search their annotations or to limit searches to documents they have annotated. Metadata from annotations can also be aggregated across users and aggregated metadata applied in generating search results.

摘要： The present invention relates to insect odorant receptor genes and methods for identifying odorant receptor genes. The invention provides nucleotide sequences of insect odorant receptor genes Or83b, amino acid sequences of their encoded proteins (including peptides or polypeptides), and related products and methods. The nucleic acids of the invention may be operatively linked to promoter sequences and transformed into host cells. Methods of production of an Or83b odorant receptor protein (e.g., by recombinant means), and derivatives and analogs thereof, are provided. Antibodies to an Or83b odorant receptor protein, and derivatives and analogs thereof, are provided. Methods for identifying molecules that bind or modulate the activity of these Or83b odorant receptor genes are provided. Molecules found to bind or modulate the activity of Or83b genes may be formulated into pest control agents by providing a carrier. In a preferred embodiment, molecules that bind or modulate the activity of an Or83b gene form one species but not others is desired. Methods to modify the insect behaviour by modifying an insect Or83b odorant are also provided.
