摘要： A system and method for developing a standard data component for coupling with a plurality of components of a component-based application to access a stored data entity of a non-component-based native application, the applications for executing in a runtime environment of a device. The system and method comprises an application module configured for storing a model of the component-based application including features of data and message component definitions expressed in a structured definition language. Also included is a native module configured for storing properties of the data entity of the native application and a standard module for generating the standard data component definition based on the features of the component-based application and the properties of the data entity of the native application. The standard data component definition is expressed in the structured definition language.

The application gateway comprises a message interface, a backend connector and a transformer. The transformer translates data between the compact format and the internal format. The proxy is located in a communications path between the wireless device and the remote service.

摘要： Applications are generally represented in different forms as suits the environment in which they are evaluated. One disadvantage is that the processor of a device executing the application cannot recognize human readable form and therefore produces a complied machine readable format. In order to permit evaluation by a machine the original application content must be subjected to a conversion process, by which the representation of the application content can grow in size. In this state the content requires additional overhead in terms of storage space, but provides the better performance for execution. A system and method of dynamically hosting an application program on a wireless device. The application content is partitioned into a plurality of module envelopes, each of the module envelopes having a portion of the modules comprising the application. The method comprises initializing the loading of the application including referencing an application information structure, such that the structure comprises relational information of the module envelopes. The method selects one of the module envelopes from the plurality of the module envelopes according to the relational information. The method also configures a state of the selected module envelope according to a predefined envelope state, the envelope state being selected from a set of envelope states including at least two of a raw state, an offline state, and an executable state. The method also provides the configured module envelope to an application manager for changing the configuration of the application on the device according to the configured module envelope.

The configuration information is retrieved and communication is established with the mediator service identified in the configuration information. Information regarding the current state of the central container application is send to the identified mediator service. Administrative information is then received from the mediator service.

An instruction detector detects a message containing a instruction by which to operate upon push content. The message is, for instance, generated by a mobile station at which an application associated with the content is resident. Once detected by the instruction detector, a content operator operates upon the content in a manner corresponding to the instruction contained in the detected message. Once operated upon, the content is stored at a storage element, available when an application of which the content is associated, becomes active.

摘要： System and method for data simplification in wireless communications are enabled by an application developer toolkit used to convert complex service messages to a simplified data structure for storing information associated with a remote service that utilizes complex data structures for conveying the information to devices that access the remote service. The application developer toolkit also outputs maps for converting the complex service messages to simplified wireless messages in a format of the simplified data structure, and maps simplified wireless messages to complex service messages. A proxy located in a communications path between the wireless device and the remote service uses the maps to convert complex service messages to simplified service messages, and vice versa.
