    • In a multicolor electrostatic recording apparatus in which two or more different color toner images are superimposed by respective electrostatic recording units, each of the electrostatic recording units includes an electrostatic latent image carried, a developer for developing an electrostatic latent image formed on the carrier with a color toner, and a detector for detecting a density of the developed image on the basis of a detecting mark which is formed on the carrier as a part of the latent image and developed by the developer. A discriminator which compares the density data with an optional desired density value to discriminate whether the density data falls in an allowable range. A controller for feed-back controlling at least one parameter for determining the density of the developed image so that the density comes to be in the allowable range, when the density falls out of the allowable range. The at least one parameter is memorized as a compensating data for the density of the developed image, when the density falls in the allowable range. Thus, using the compensating data, a process using the parameter for determining the density of the developed image is carried out. The detector for detecting density includes a light emitting section and a light receiving unit.

    • A frequency-conversion mixer, which is designed to operate in substantially the whole range of the radio frequency band extending from low frequency to the ultra-high frequency, has first and second diodes inversely arranged in parallel connection between a first input terminal for a receiving signal and a junction point. Third and fourth diodes are connected in forward series between a common terminal and a second input terminal for an oscillator signal with the junction point between the third and fourth diodes. A dc component removing capacitor is connected to the junction point for providing a frequency mixed signal, whereby the use of a transformer as used in a double balanced mixer is eliminated and there is practically no output response at frequencies below the cutoff frequency of the diodes.

    • A repeater which receives a frame-multiplexed signal, extracts a receiving clock from the signal, and detects a timing of frame synchronization. The receiving clock and a master clock are input into a selector, the output of the selector is supplied for frame regeneration through a clock phase gradual shift circuit, and the detected timing is supplied for frame synchronization in the regenerated frame-multiplexed signal through a gate.     • A novel valve mechanism using the so-called "rolling seal" type flexible cover tube. This cover tube is fitted fluid-tight on the outer circumference of a generally cylindrical inner movable valve member which is formed with an axial bore providing a fluid passage and which is further formed at its outer circumference with a valve port having communication with the axial bore. The cover tube has its at least one end radially turned or rolled radially outwardly to provide a turned annular lip where it is fitted on a fastened outer cylinder. Thus, the valve port is opened and closed by the outward and inward rolling motions of the annular lip of the cover tube due to the relative movements in the axial direction between the outer cylinder and the inner valve member. By the use of the valve mechanism thus constructed, a charging valve for a gas lighter can be provided. Moreover, a gas lighter injecting and charging valve of direct connection type can also be provided, in which a gas supply bomb can be connected directly to the gas lighter during the charging operation without removing the nozzle exit from the lighter.
