    • A system and method for supporting bandwidth requests in a handover are provided. A method for mobile station operations includes transmitting a first message, receiving a second message responsive to the first message, and initiating a handover with the target controller and a serving controller. The first message includes an incremental bandwidth request, the second message includes an indicator indicating that a target controller has allocated resources at least equal to a total bandwidth required by the mobile station, and the total bandwidth required by the mobile station is provided by a serving controller or maintained by the target controller.

    • A motor-operated selector valve relating to refrigerating technology is provided. There are disadvantages, such as complicated assembly structure, big noise, vulnerability to interferences etc., in prior art. In the present invention, a slider is controlled by a stepper motor so as to be rotatablely displaced among four positions on a flat bottom surface of a valve seat. Three outlets on the flat bottom surface are communicated with a normal open inlet in the valve seat via flow-guiding orifices in the slider respectively. In the first working position, the first outlet and the third outlet are in communication with the normal open inlet at the same time; in the second working position, the second outlet is in communication with the normal open inlet; in the third working position, the third outlet is in communication with the normal open inlet; in the fourth working position, the first outlet is in communication with the normal open inlet. The technical solution employs the driving means of rotary displacement, thereby the action noise can be less than 30 dB (A) at a distance of 30 cm; and power supply can be cut off after the switch among the working states, as a stable working state can be ensured through the self-maintaining function of magnetic poles and the magnetic rotor of the stepper motor, as a result, energy consumption of the valve itself is reduced.

    • The present invention provides a serving-grant allocation method for a high-speed uplink packet access system. It includes these steps: a. Transmission of the serving-grant initial allocation message to mobile subscribers via network; b. The mobile subscriber decides whether setting the stored-secondary-grant is needed based on the initial allocation message description. If it is needed, then set the stored-secondary-grant to the value indicated in the aforementioned initial allocation message. The present invention solves problems such as the mobile subscriber can not allocate stored-secondary-grant during wireless channel allocation, or the primary/secondary grant can only allocate one out of the two, and the subsequent process issues that occur as a result of stored-secondary-grant not being set up during the initial allocation with the existing technology. The present invention effectively enhances the usage of the wireless channel and network's capacity to exercise control over mobile subscribers, thereby reducing system complexity, and improving system performance.
