摘要： Up and down directions of an image are to be precisely judged without a special equipment installed in an image pickup device. An object candidate detecting means detects object candidates from an input image and their angles in the input image. A similarity calculation means calculate the degree of similarity between each detected object candidate and each object stored in advance. An input image angle calculating means judges up and down directions of the input image based on the calculated similarity of each object candidate and the angle of the input image. The input image angle calculating means carries out weighting for the angle of each object candidate in the input image based on its similarity and calculates slant angles with respect to the up and down directions of the input image by using the weighted angles.

摘要： An electrical connector detachably fitted with a mating connector includes a plurality of contacts, a housing arranging and holding the contacts therein and having guide portions for guiding the mating connector, and fixtures to be fixed to a substrate. The fixtures are made of a metal and each include the guide portion in the form of a substantially U-shape integrally formed therewith. A free end of the guide portion is provided on each of its both sides with an extending piece downwardly extending and adapted to be inserted into an inserting groove of the housing. The housing is provided with the inserting grooves at locations corresponding to the extending pieces for inserting the extending pieces, respectively, and is provided with slits, one at each of its longitudinal ends, to form holding portions having elasticity, thereby holding the guide portions of the fixtures therein. The guide portions of the electrical connector are not damaged even if being subjected to unexpected strong forces from the mating connector.

摘要： An electrical connector includes a plug connector and a receptacle connector detachably fitted with each other. The plug connector comprises a plurality of coaxial cables, a flexible printed circuit board and a ground bar. Each of the coaxial cable has a center conductor, an insulator covering the center conductor, a braid as an external conductor covering the insulator, and a sheath covering the braid. The flexible printed circuit board has lands each connected to the center conductor of the coaxial cable and land portions to which the ground bar is connected. The grand bar has a main portion adapted to contact the braids of the coaxial cables, and fixed portions each positioned contiguously with the main portion and connected to the land portion. The electrical connector achieves the low height geometry of the plug connector and hence that of the receptacle connector and precludes any failed connection between the ground bar and the coaxial cables.
