    • A current-fed DC-DC converter has a topology that improves converter performance and operates an input inductor in continuous conduction mode. The configuration and operation of the converter produces reduced requirements for circuit component ratings and leads to faster transient response time than conventional current-fed DC-DC converters. The converter can operate as an apparent current-fed full bridge converter in one stage, and an apparent current-fed half bridge converter in another stage. The input inductor is configured and operated to release stored energy to the load in conjunction with other energy storage components to provide a continuous output current that significantly reduces output voltage ripple, leading to reduced rating requirements and output components. The converter topology permits a portion of the switching stage to operate with no deadtime to further improve circuit responsiveness and efficiency.

    • A method and apparatus for etchback profile control. The method includes performing a first etch through a first dielectric layer to form a first via and a second dielectric layer, filling the first via with a BARC material to form a first BARC layer, and performing a second etch on the first BARC layer to form a second BARC layer. The second etch has a first etch rate in a first peripheral region of the second BARC layer and a second etch rate in a first central region of the second BARC layer. The first peripheral region is located around a sidewall of the first via, and the first central region is located around a center of the first via. The first etch rate is larger than the second etch rate, and the first peripheral region is located higher than the first central region. A first top surface of the second BARC layer has substantially a first convex shape. Additionally, the method includes performing a third etch through a second dielectric layer to form a trench and a third BARC layer. The trench has a trench bottom surface, which is substantially free from any spike around a side surface of the third BARC layer. A second top surface of the third BARC layer has substantially a second convex shape. Moreover, the method includes removing the third BARC layer to form a second via.

The candle is formed from a candle composition which includes a wax and a polymeric material. The candle composition has a phase transition temperature of about 35° C. or higher. The candle composition is substantially opaque at a temperature below the phase transition temperature, whereas it becomes substantially transparent at or above the phase transition temperature. In addition to the wax and the polymeric material, the candle composition may further include a hydrocarbon oil or mixtures thereof, such as a white oil and/or a poly-&agr;-olefin.

    • An adjustable crank for adjusting the swinging-angle of a fan comprises a first and a second eccentric disks, the first disk is rotatablely inserted in the second disk, a ring-shape spring is disposed between the engaging surfaces of them to couple them with predetermined torque. A crank pin is eccentrically and integrally formed on the first disk. The second disk is provided with a rotation means for the second disk being turned to rotate about a center axis, which is eccentric with respect to the engaging surfaces. A rotary knob is fixedly mounted on the end of the crankpin for manually turning the first disk to rotate relative to the second disk. Thereby the crank length can be continuously adjusted and self-fixed after being adjusted.
