    • An image forming processor includes a generating unit and a correcting unit. The first characteristic quantity data obtaining unit obtains a set of first characteristic quantity data. The receiving unit receives data of an original image. The second characteristic data obtaining unit obtains a set of second characteristic quantity data based on the data of the original image. The generating unit generates at least one set of image data concerning the first characteristic quantity data. The display unit displays the at least one set of image data to prompt a user to specify one set of image data among the at least one set of image data. The correcting unit corrects the original image by using the set of second characteristic quantity data and a set of first characteristic quantity data that has been used to generate the one set of image data specified by the user.

    • The image processor includes an image filter acquiring unit, a reduced image average value calculating unit, a normalization parameter setting unit, an original image average value calculating unit, an original image reflectance acquiring unit, a normalizing unit, and a correcting unit. The image filter acquiring unit generates either one of the original image filter and the reduced image filter based on the other one of the original image filter and the reduced image filter. The reduced image average value calculating unit calculates an average peripheral value for each pixel in the reduced image using the reduced image filter. The normalization parameter setting unit tabulates frequencies of each reflectance value within the entire range of reflectance values of the reduced image and sets a normalization parameter. The normalizing unit normalizes the reflectance value for each pixel in the original image based on the normalization parameter. The correcting unit corrects a value for each pixel based on the normalized reflectance value for the each pixel in the original image.

    • The present invention provides an image processing device for processing an original image having a first number of horizontal lines parallel to one another. Each of the first number of horizontal lines includes a second number of pixels. The image processing device has a processing unit and a storage unit. The processing unit resizes the original image to an output image with a scaling factor, the output image having a plurality of target pixels. The storage unit stores a gray scale of each pixel in at least one of the first number of horizontal lines. The processing unit has a first calculating unit, a selecting unit, and a second calculating unit. The first calculating unit calculates a maximum number of horizontal lines which the storage unit is able to store at once, based on the second number of pixels, the maximum number being less than the first number. The selecting unit selects a resizing method to resize the original image based on the scaling factor and the maximum number of horizontal lines. The second calculating unit calculates a gray scale of the target pixel in the output image with the selected method.
