    • An image forming apparatus, comprises an image carrying member for carrying a toner image; a drive section for driving the image carrying member at a predetermined speed; a transfer section for forming a transfer region with the image carrying member therebetween in which the transfer section nips a sheet of recording paper with the image carrying member so as to transfer the toner image on the image carrying member to the sheet of recording paper; a memory section for memorizing control data to suppress speed fluctuation which is caused on the image carrying member when the sheet of recording paper passes the transfer region; and a control section to control the drive section based on the control data memorized in the memory section such that the drive section applies torque with a phase reverse to that of the speed fluctuation onto the image carrying member.

    • The present invention provides an audio information transforming method, a program product, a device, an encoder, and an video/audio format utilized therein, which are capable of providing an audio information by adjusting the Doppler effect caused by movement of the object, in response to change of the listening point. In the invention, a virtual listening point is set at a position different from a basic listening point where a listener listens to a sound of an object, then a velocity of the object observed from the virtual listening point is calculated based on position information of the virtual listening point and position information of the object. Then, an audio frequency of an audio heard at the virtual listening point is changed based on the calculated velocity. For example, the frequency of the sound is increased if the object approaches the virtual listening point, and the frequency is decreased if opposite.

    • When conducting a color-shift-correcting mode using a registration mark formed by the image forming section on an image carrier, the image detecting section outputs the image detection signal representing the line width of the registration mark and the control section calculates the line width of the registration mark from the image detection signal. The control section compares a line width of the registration mark with a predetermined reference value of the line width to discriminate between abnormality and normality. If normality, the control section continues the color-shift-correcting mode and if abnormality the control section conducts the image forming system restoration mode after stopping the execution of the color-shift-correcting mode. Therefore, even in the case where a white spot is generated for some reasons on the registration mark, the color-shift-correcting mode can be conducted on the normal registration mark with the help of the image forming system restoration mode.
