摘要： A liquid crystal display device including a pair of substrates sandwiching liquid crystal molecules, a plurality of gate bus lines, and a plurality of data bus lines, with each of the data bus lines extending to intersect the gate bus lines and bending in a zigzag manner. A plurality of pixels are formed in areas enclosed by the data and gate bus lines, with a plurality of pixel electrodes, each covering a substantial area of one of the pixels. A plurality of domain regulating structures for regulating orientation directions of the liquid crystal molecules and for forming multiple domains are formed in each of the pixels. At least one of the domain regulating structures bends along a first side edge of the pixel electrode and domains are divided in accordance with the bending of the domain regulating structure.

The particle-beam treatment system, in which multi-layer conformal irradiation is performed while the setting of the shape of the multileaf collimator in an irradiation head is changed during particle-beam irradiation, is provided with an optical shape-monitoring unit mounted attachably and detachably in the snout portion at the downstream side of the multileaf collimator, the optical shape-monitoring unit having a shape-monitoring mirror, opposing the multileaf collimator, for monitoring the shape of the multileaf collimator; a video camera for shooting the multileaf-collimator shape reflected by the shape-monitoring mirror; and an image monitor for displaying an image of the video camera that shoots the shape of the multileaf collimator.

摘要： The present invention Provides a discharge tube connector which suppresses the occurrence of a damage of a discharge tube at the time of installation and can be easily installed. An end electrode of the discharge tube and a board electrode on a circuit board can be electrically connected with each other through a conductive connection portion without using lead wires, so a damage such as a crack and the like, of a light-emitting portion of the discharge tube can be avoided. When a holding portion is made of a rubber-like elastic material, the conductive connection portion has rubber-like elasticity, so the conductive connection portion can be pressed between the end electrode and the board electrode on the circuit board to conductively connect the end electrode with the board electrode. Therefore, the soldering operation can be omitted. Thus, installation does not take time, so a manufacturing cost can be reduced.

摘要： In a liquid crystal display device, the pixel electrodes and the projection pattern are formed on the TFT substrate side, and surfaces of the pixel electrodes and the projection pattern are covered with a vertical alignment film. Opposing electrode and a projection pattern are formed on the CF substrate side, and surfaces of the opposing electrode and the projection pattern are covered with a vertical alignment film. The TFT substrate and the CF substrate are arranged such that top end portions of the projection pattern on the CF substrate are brought into contact with the TFT substrate. Liquid crystal having negative dielectric anisotropy is sealed between the TFT and CF substrates. Accordingly, the step of scattering the spacers can be omitted, change in the cell thickness can be prevented, and the good display quality can be achieved.
