    • A RF distribution system determines its configuration and verifies the consistency of the determined configuration. Based on a device identifier, the RF distribution system may individually instruct each RF component to provide a generated signal. Consequently, a first RF component may modulate a signal on a first port. If a second RF component detects a modulated signal on a second port, then the RF distribution system deems that the two RF components are connected together. The procedure may be repeated for the remaining RF components so that the RF configuration of the RF distribution system may be determined. The determined RF configuration may be further verified for operational consistency. The RF distribution system may also scan a RF spectrum, determine a set of frequencies that provides RF compatibility with the RF distribution system based on the scanning, and configure the RF components in accordance with the set of frequencies.

    • A shock mount for a microphone comprises a first frame member having an upper ring-shaped frame member and a lower ring-shaped frame member. The lower frame member has a microphone mount for receiving a microphone. The shock mount also has a second frame member comprising a ring. The first frame member is suspended from the second member by wire rope or other substantially non-elastic flexible material, and the wire rope is configured to help reduce the amount of vibration encountered by the first frame member. A method comprises providing a first frame member and a second frame member and suspending the first frame member from the second frame member by wire rope or other substantially non-elastic flexible material and mounting a microphone on the first frame member to help reduce the amount of vibration encountered by the first frame member and the microphone.

    • An earphone assembly for an in-ear listening device is disclosed. The earphone assembly has an inner housing comprising a nozzle, configured to receive a sleeve for placement into a user's ear, and a balanced armature motor assembly. The balanced armature motor assembly is mounted in the inner housing so as to form an acoustical seal between the inner housing and the balanced armature motor assembly. The earphone assembly also includes an outer housing configured to receive the inner housing. The inner housing can comprise a recess for receiving a paddle of the balanced armature motor assembly. Alternatively, the outer housing can be formed with a nozzle for receiving a sleeve for placement into a user's ear canal, and the inner housing can comprise a spout, which is received in a recess in the outer housing.

    • An RF distribution system distributes a radio frequency (RF) signal to a plurality of receivers. Ports provide RF connectivity from the antennas to the receivers while also providing data connectivity between the receivers. Sensors detect which receivers are connected to the distribution system so that the distribution system can route data from the first detected receiver to the other detected receivers and back to the first detected receiver. The distribution system can dynamically alter the routing if the receiver configuration changes. Consequently, a receiver can send data to other receivers through A-ports and B-ports of a radio distribution system. The A-ports provide RF connectivity to a first antenna while the B-ports provide RF connectivity to a second antenna. Different commands for locking, unlocking, scanning RF spectrum, and configuring can be sent between the receivers via the A-ports and B-ports through the RF distribution system.

    • The present invention provides apparatuses and methods for an antenna in a wireless receiving system. The antenna includes an opened segmented component that is electrically coupled to a printed circuit board and a capacitive top loaded component that provides a capacitive load. The vertical profile of the antenna may be reduced sufficiently so that the antenna may be internally located in the same enclosure as the printed circuit board. The capacitive top loaded component is situated away from a ground plane of a printed circuit board to reduce the capacitive coupling is reduced, and consequently the required voltage standing wave ration (VSWR) is maintained over a broad operating range. The capacitive top loaded component includes a closed shape that provides a capacitive load. In order to tune the antenna to operate with a desired characteristic (e.g., within a VSWR criterion), the closed shape may be modified.

    • The invention provides a digital automixer system that includes a master processing unit and at least one non-master processing unit that are interconnected. The non-master processing unit obtains a first microphone signal and determines a first basic level measurement and a network submix audio signal. The master processing unit obtains a second microphone signal and determines a second basic level measurement, and obtains the first basic level measurement and the network submix audio signal from the non-master processing unit. The master processing unit further forms a final mix audio signal from the second microphone signal and the network submix audio signal and determines a gating control signal for the digital automixer system. The master processing unit may also delay the second basic level measurement to compensate for a network delay. The invention also provides a digital automixer system that includes a plurality of master processing units.
