    • Paging and power consumption are managed in conjunction with providing local breakout in a wireless wide area network. In some aspects, if a packet destined for an access terminal is received at an access point that provides local breakout, the access point may inform the network so that the network will cause the access point to page the access terminal. Alternatively, in some aspects an access point that provides local breakout may maintain idle context of the access terminal, whereby the access point may autonomously page the access terminal (i.e., without involving the core network). In some aspects local breakout traffic is filtered at an access point to reduce the number of pages or packets sent to an access terminal. In some aspects an indication of a packet type is provided with a page message to enable an access terminal to determine whether to receive the packet. In some aspects a local link interface may be selectively disabled or enabled to limit traffic at an access terminal.

    • A clock generator generates a first clock. A receiver transitions, based on the first clock, from a power save mode to an active mode to receive a DTIM beacon from an access point. The DTIM beacon is transmitted at a DTIM beacon interval based on a second clock of the access point. A beacon sensing module determines a number of times the DTIM beacon is missed by the receiver during a predetermined time period subsequent to the receiver transitioning from the power save mode to the active mode. A transmit module transmits a number of requests to the access point during a given DTIM beacon interval. The number of requests is based on the number of times the DTIM beacon is missed. A synchronization module receives information about the second clock from the access point and synchronizes the first clock to the second clock based on the information.

    • A back cover for mobile terminals which protects the rear surface of a mobile terminal having a battery in the rear surface. The back cover includes: a cover body mounted to the rear surface of the mobile terminal; hooks formed on the edge of the cover body and locked to the rear surface of the mobile terminal; a terminal unit provided on a first surface of the cover body at a location corresponding to terminals of the mobile terminal; a pattern electrode unit provided on a second surface of the cover body and electrically connected to the terminal unit, the pattern electrode unit having an electrode that electrically connects the terminals of the mobile terminal to an outside charger; and a magnet placed in the cover body and magnetically connected to the outside charger.
