摘要： A fastener formed by an elongated member with an apertured tip, such as a filamentary string, that is attached to a bi-directional locking head with longitudinally opposed openings. The elongated member is inserted into either of the opposed openings of the head, where it is engaged and locked in place by an internal, at least partially circumferential ring. Once the apertured tip is inserted into the locking head it remains in its locking position even if the filamentary string becomes separated from it as a result, for example, of pilferage.

Each of the fasteners consists of a substantially H-shaped body composed of a head section, a bar section opposed to the head section, and a filament section by which the head section and bar section are joined together. Each of the fasteners is obtained by punching a film or a sheet of a synthetic resin. After a plurality of such fasteners as described above have been laminated in the direction of the thickness thereof, the bar sections are fused together in such a manner that the fasteners can be separated one by one.

摘要： This specification discloses an identification tag for designating a container with either of two indicia. The tag includes a generally planar body which can be folded double along an axis so that either of two indicia can be displayed by reversing the fold, one of the messages being on one side and the other message being on the other side of the tag. The body of the tag can be attached to the container by an elongated strap extending from one edge of the body and passing through a pair of aligned holes in the body which are generally symetric with respect to the axis of folding. The strap has a barb-like protrusion at the end which facilitates insertion of the strap into the holes and resists removal of the strap. When the indicia is to be changed, the strap is removed from the holes, the body folded in reverse and attached to the container with the other indicia showing.

摘要： A reusable security tag has an enclosure containing an element detectable by independent means and a cruciate sheet metal clutch lock. A pin for piercing a garment is secured at the end of a lever arm which is hinged to said enclosure for controlled movement into said clutch lock. Said pin is released from said clutch lock by application of a special tool to said enclosure for deforming said clutch lock to spread its jaws. Elliptical grooves around the shank of said pin increase the retentivity of said clutch lock without decreasing unnecessarily the tensile strength of said shank. This is a division of application Ser. No. 428,827, now U.S. Pat. No. 3,942,829 filed Dec. 27, 1973.
