摘要： Apparatus for controlling and recording the use of a plurality of photocopiers are disclosed. The apparatus includes a terminal associated with each of the photocopiers and a central recorder connected to each of the terminals. Each authorized user of the photocopiers is issued a badge having user identification information encoded thereon. The information on the badge is read at the terminal and transmitted to the central recorder before the copier is used while counts made at the terminal and representing the copies made are transmitted to the central recorder after the user has completed making his copies. A communication link between an individual terminal and the central recorder is only required immediately prior to and following the use of the copier by each user.

摘要： A redundantly printed security-enhanced document, printing method and system ensure the meaning of the information imparted by variable indicia printed by redundant printing on the document with removable scratch-off coatings. By printing the variable indicia with multiple colors, redundancy and integrity of the intended indicia is achieved. Additionally, inverted color indicia countermeasures to pinprick attacks are also disclosed. The redundantly printed document, methods and systems enhance the overall appearance of the redundantly printed document, and reduce possible consequences resulting from misprinted variable indicia. The resultant printed process color indicia maintains a grayscale equivalent level of a process color greater than or equal to the measured grayscale equivalent level of the substrate surface plus an additional contrast delta of 15%.

Ids, obtained as a result of the retrieval, are set as candidate IDs. When all display languages selected by users having the candidate IDs are the same, the display language selected by the users having the candidate IDs is set as a first display language. When a display language of an authentication screen, which is being displayed, does not coincide with the first display language, an authentication screen in the first display language is displayed in place of the authentication screen, which is being displayed.
