摘要： A circuit breaker includes an operating mechanism having powerful mechanism springs to achieve the requisite contact pressure for high current carrying capacity. A rotary handle resets the operating mechanism via a reciprocating slide and latching mechanism, while loading the mechanism springs. Return of the handle to its original position achieves rapid closure of the circuit breaker contacts. The circuit breaker is equipped with a trip solenoid and an accessory which includes a bell alarm switch and a breaker lockout operating automatically in response to tripping of the circuit breaker by the trip solenoid.

摘要： An improved circuit breaker comprises an externally accessible plug-in type replaceable rating adjuster removably supported on the housing of the circuit breaker. The rating adjuster comprises resistor means having a first resistance value. The plug-in rating adjuster can be removed and replaced by another plug-in rating adjuster comprising resistor means having a different resistance value to thereby enable a rating change of the circuit breaker in the field. Interlock means is provided to automatically trip the circuit breaker if the circuit breaker is closed when the rating adjuster is removed and to maintain the circuit breaker in a tripped condition so long as the rating adjuster is removed to thereby prevent operation of the circuit interrupter while the rating adjuster is removed. Keying means prevents the mounting of an improper rating adjuster on the breaker.

摘要： An electrical circuit-breaker comprising a housing, fixed and movable contact members and a breaker mechanism for actuating the movable contact member. The breaker mechanism includes a pivotable handle for manual operation of the breaker. A first axle is fixed in the housing. There is provided a first lever with two arms of unequal length, said lever being pivotably supported by said axle and being operatively connected with said handle in direction of closing the breaker by the handle. A coil spring is arranged on the axle for urging the lever in a direction to open the contacts. The first axle also carries a second lever having a coulisse mechanically engaged with the handle, that the two arms of the first lever stand nearly at an angle of 90* to each other, the summit of the angle coinciding almost with the axle and that the movable contact member is mounted on the shorter arm of the first two armed lever.
